Job Summary

The Classified Ad Moderator is responsible for reviewing, approving, and monitoring classified ads submitted by users on the SayPro platform. The primary goal is to ensure that all published ads adhere to SayPro’s content guidelines, maintain quality standards, and comply with security and data protection policies. This role requires attention to detail, a strong understanding of SayPro’s classified policies, and the ability to identify fraudulent or inappropriate content.


Key Responsibilities & Tasks

1. Reviewing and Approving Ads

🔹 Ensure Compliance with SayPro Guidelines

  • Review all classified ad submissions to confirm they meet SayPro’s content policies.
  • Check ads for prohibited content, including inappropriate language, illegal products, or misleading information.
  • Verify that all ads comply with SayPro’s ethical and security standards outlined in SayPro Monthly January SCMR-5 and SayPro Quarterly Classified Security and Data Protection Management.

🔹 Assess Content Quality and Relevance

  • Ensure ads are clearly written and free from excessive errors or irrelevant information.
  • Verify that images, videos, and descriptions accurately represent the advertised products or services.
  • Reject ads that contain false claims, duplicate listings, or violate SayPro’s intellectual property policies.

🔹 Ensure Ad Categorization Accuracy

  • Check that each ad is placed in the correct category (e.g., real estate, jobs, services).
  • Contact users to suggest category changes if an ad is miscategorized.

🔹 Approve or Reject Ads

  • Approve ads that meet all SayPro policies and quality requirements.
  • Reject or request modifications for ads that do not comply, providing feedback to users.

2. Monitoring and Managing Ad Listings

  • Conduct periodic reviews of published ads to ensure ongoing compliance with SayPro standards.
  • Remove expired, misleading, or fraudulent ads from the platform.

🔹 Identify and Report Suspicious Activity

  • Monitor ads for potential fraud, spam, or scams (e.g., fake job postings, misleading product descriptions).
  • Report suspicious ads to SayPro’s security and data protection team.
  • Work with SayPro’s cybersecurity unit to prevent unauthorized or fraudulent activity.

3. Engaging with Users & Providing Support

  • Notify users if their ads are rejected and provide reasons for disapproval.

  • Address complaints and disputes related to rejected or removed ads.
  • Assist users in resolving technical issues with ad submissions.

4. Enhancing Platform Security & Data Protection
