Position Overview:

The Mobile Responsiveness Optimizer for Map Integration is responsible for optimizing the functionality and user experience of the classified map feature across all mobile devices. This includes ensuring that users can seamlessly interact with the map, view ad locations clearly, and navigate through the map’s features effortlessly, regardless of the device they are using. The role will focus on making sure that the map’s integration within the SayPro Classified platform is mobile-friendly, accessible, and visually optimized for various screen sizes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Optimize Map for Mobile Devices:
    • Task: Ensure that the map displaying ad locations is fully responsive and user-friendly on mobile devices.
    • Action: Work closely with the development team to adjust the map’s features (such as zoom, location markers, and overlays) to fit various mobile screen sizes (smartphones and tablets).
    • Expected Outcome: Users can easily navigate, view, and interact with the map interface without distortion or performance issues on mobile devices.
  2. Coordinate with Classified Map Integration Team:
    • Task: Collaborate with the development and marketing teams to integrate the map visually and functionally within the SayPro Classified platform.
    • Action: Ensure that ad locations are accurately displayed on the map and that the mobile version of the map matches the desktop version in terms of functionality.
    • Expected Outcome: Consistent and smooth user experience across all platforms with no disparity between mobile and desktop versions of the map.
  3. Testing and Troubleshooting Mobile Performance:
    • Task: Conduct thorough testing across different mobile devices to ensure full functionality.
    • Action: Test the map’s responsiveness on multiple devices, operating systems, and browsers, identifying any issues related to display, interaction, or performance.
    • Expected Outcome: No significant issues, such as broken links, slow loading times, or navigation difficulties, on mobile devices.
  4. Implement Best Practices for Mobile Optimization:
    • Task: Apply industry best practices to optimize map performance on mobile.
    • Action: Ensure that the map is designed to load quickly, function smoothly, and present the user with a clean, clear interface. Prioritize lightweight code, responsive design, and reduced file sizes for faster mobile experiences.
    • Expected Outcome: Improved performance and reduced bounce rates due to optimized mobile user experience.
  5. User Interface (UI) Adjustments for Mobile:
    • Task: Adjust the user interface (UI) of the map on mobile devices to provide an intuitive and seamless experience.
    • Action: Modify elements such as buttons, icons, zoom functions, and location pins to make them easily clickable and visually clear on smaller screens.
    • Expected Outcome: Improved user satisfaction with the mobile map, enhancing usability and engagement on mobile devices.
  6. Monitor and Report Mobile User Feedback:
    • Task: Collect and analyze user feedback regarding the map’s mobile performance.
    • Action: Work with the customer support team to monitor complaints or suggestions related to mobile usability, then propose or implement solutions based on this feedback.

  7. Collaborate with Marketing on Mobile-Friendly Features:
    • Task: Support the marketing team in ensuring the mobile responsiveness of any marketing campaigns utilizing the classified map.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience: Proven experience in mobile optimization and front-end development, particularly with map integration.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with responsive design techniques, mobile-friendly interfaces, and map APIs (such as Google Maps, Mapbox, etc.).
  • Tools: Proficiency in web development tools and platforms (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and frameworks like Bootstrap or Foundation).
  • Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills to address mobile-specific issues.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, marketing, and customer support.

Performance Metrics:

  • Mobile Responsiveness: The map must be fully optimized across at least 90% of common mobile devices and screen sizes.
