Job Title: Mobile Responsiveness Tester for Classified Map Integration

Key Responsibilities:
- Mobile Responsiveness Testing:
- Objective: Test the performance and responsiveness of the classified map integration across various devices (desktop, mobile, and tablet) to ensure optimal user experience.
- Conduct detailed tests to verify that the map performs seamlessly across multiple screen sizes and resolutions.
- Identify and report any discrepancies or issues related to the responsiveness of the map on mobile platforms.
- Ensure the map’s functionality (such as zoom, panning, and ad location visualization) remains consistent on both desktop and mobile views.
- User Interaction Consistency:
- Evaluate user interaction features such as map navigation, ad location markers, search/filter functionalities, and the map’s loading speed on all devices.
- Test and verify that clicking, tapping, or dragging functionalities work smoothly on touch-screen devices (mobile/tablet) and desktop (mouse/keyboard interactions).
- Provide detailed feedback on any inconsistencies or bugs, including suggestions for optimizing the mobile user experience.
- Cross-Platform Testing:
- Ensure compatibility with major mobile browsers (i.e., Safari, Chrome, Firefox) and operating systems (iOS, Android) as well as desktop browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari).
- Test the responsiveness and accuracy of location-based data visualization on the map when accessing it on different devices.
- Document and report any discrepancies related to browser rendering or functionality.
- Collaboration with Development Team:
- Work closely with the development and design teams to highlight areas of concern, suggest improvements, and ensure fixes are implemented effectively for mobile and desktop views.
- Participate in weekly meetings to discuss mobile responsiveness test results and potential solutions for identified issues.
- Act as a liaison between the marketing and tech teams, ensuring all mobile and desktop functionality aligns with business objectives.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain a detailed log of tests conducted, devices and browsers used, issues encountered, and their resolution.
- Provide comprehensive reports on the overall mobile responsiveness and performance, highlighting areas for improvement or optimization.
- Ensure that all findings are clearly documented for future reference and knowledge-sharing within the project team.
- Performance Monitoring:
- Regularly monitor the map’s performance post-deployment on both mobile and desktop platforms to ensure that the map remains functional and responsive over time.
- Suggest performance enhancements if the map’s performance on mobile or desktop devices slows down or experiences issues.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay up to date on the latest mobile responsiveness trends and technologies, providing insights on new tools or techniques that can improve the map’s usability across devices.
- Participate in post-launch reviews to evaluate the mobile responsiveness of the final product and provide recommendations for future updates.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience in mobile responsiveness testing, particularly for web applications.
- Strong understanding of web development principles, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design.
- Experience testing on various mobile and desktop devices, including iOS, Android, and Windows.
- Familiarity with testing tools such as BrowserStack or similar cross-device testing platforms.
- Attention to detail and the ability to identify issues related to mobile and desktop responsiveness.
Desired Skills:
- Familiarity with GIS systems or map integration technologies.
- Knowledge of testing frameworks or tools like Selenium, Appium, or others related to mobile testing.
- Strong communication skills to provide clear and concise feedback to developers and designers.
Working Environment:
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Collaborative team environment, requiring flexibility and adaptability in approach.
