Key Responsibilities:

  1. Implement Filtering and Search Capabilities for Classified Ads:
    • Develop and integrate robust search and filtering functionalities that enable users to quickly locate relevant ads within the SayPro classified platform. The filter system should include, but is not limited to, categories, locations, price ranges, and ad types.
    • Ensure that users can easily sort and view ads based on various criteria such as newest listings, price, location proximity, etc.
    • Work with the SayPro development team to ensure that search parameters can be adjusted in real-time and results are updated dynamically as the user refines their search criteria.
  2. Location-Based Filtering and Search:
    • Implement geolocation-based search features to allow users to filter ads based on proximity to their location or a custom-defined location.
    • Integrate location-based filtering to help users find ads that are most relevant to their geographical preferences, enhancing user experience by making it easier to explore local ads.
  3. Category-Based Filtering:
    • Develop a category-based search mechanism that allows users to browse ads by specific categories, subcategories, and keywords.
    • Ensure seamless integration with the overall user interface, providing a structured, easy-to-navigate system that helps users quickly find ads within particular categories.
  4. Enhancing User Experience with Search Optimization:
    • Optimize the search functionality to ensure that results are returned quickly, even with large volumes of ads. This includes implementing indexing techniques, optimizing backend search algorithms, and reducing server load.
    • Continuously test the filtering and search performance to identify potential improvements or issues related to speed, relevance, and user satisfaction.
  5. Integration with SayPro Monthly Classified Map (SCMR-5):
    • Integrate the newly developed filtering and search functionalities with the SayPro Monthly Classified Map Integration (SCMR-5).
    • Ensure that the ad location filtering is visually represented on an interactive map, providing users with a clear view of where ads are geographically located.
    • Make sure the map is dynamic, allowing users to zoom, pan, and click on ad locations for more details, while keeping the filtering options and search functionality synchronized with the map’s visual data.
  6. Collaboration with SayPro Marketing Royalty Team:
    • Collaborate with the SayPro Marketing Royalty SCMR team to ensure that the filtering and search functionalities align with ongoing marketing campaigns and promotions.
    • Ensure that advertisements from the marketing royalty program are easily searchable and can be filtered alongside other ads, promoting enhanced visibility and user engagement.
  7. Maintain Data Accuracy:
    • Work closely with the data management team to ensure that all filtering parameters are backed by accurate, up-to-date ad data.
    • Implement solutions to prevent incorrect or outdated data from appearing in search results, which may confuse or frustrate users.
  8. Performance and Analytics Reporting:
    • Collect data on the usage of search and filtering features to identify areas for improvement and to understand user preferences.
    • Develop reports and dashboards to monitor how users interact with the filtering and search functionality, and provide insights to guide future iterations.
  9. Ensure Compliance and User Privacy:
    • Maintain the highest standards of user privacy and data protection while handling search and filtering data.
    • Ensure that any user-specific search preferences, location data, or behavioral data used in the filtering system comply with applicable privacy regulations.
  10. Continuous Improvement:
    • Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in search and filtering functionality for classified ads, and continuously integrate new features or tools that enhance the user experience.
    • Actively engage in user feedback loops to understand challenges and opportunities for further optimization of the search and filtering systems.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Strong experience in web development, specifically in creating search and filtering systems.
  • Expertise in JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and popular frameworks like React or Angular.
  • Familiarity with geolocation APIs and map integration for visualizing ad locations.
  • Experience with SEO and performance optimization for search-related features.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, data, and product management.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with classified ads platforms and marketplace functionality.
  • Familiarity with SayPro systems, SCMR integration, or similar platforms.
  • Background in UX/UI design with a focus on improving search navigation for end-users.

By fulfilling these responsibilities, participants will play a critical role in enhancing the overall functionality of SayPro’s classified platform, contributing to a seamless, user-centric experience while ensuring effective integration with the SayPro Monthly Classified Map (SCMR-5) and broader marketing goals.
