Job Overview:
The User Privacy Management Specialist will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of a system for requesting user consent for location-based ad targeting. This role is critical to ensure SayPro’s compliance with user privacy laws, enhance user experience, and align with the goals of SayPro Monthly January SCMR-5 and SayPro Marketing Royalty SCMR, which focus on geolocation-based ad targeting. The role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including legal, compliance, marketing, and product development, to ensure user privacy is safeguarded while maintaining the effectiveness of location-based advertising strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and Develop Consent Request System:
    • Develop a system for requesting explicit user consent before utilizing geolocation data for ad targeting.
    • Ensure the system aligns with global privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
    • Create a user-friendly interface that provides clear, transparent information on data usage.
    • Implement a mechanism for users to easily accept, deny, or manage their consent preferences.
  2. Geolocation Integration for Ads:
    • Work closely with the SayPro Classified Office team to integrate location-based ad targeting through geolocation technology.
    • Use geolocation to auto-detect user location for localized ads, ensuring users are shown relevant, location-specific content.
    • Collaborate with the SayPro Marketing Royalty SCMR to optimize ad relevance based on user consent and location data.
  3. User Data Privacy and Security:
    • Ensure that all location-based data collection complies with SayPro’s privacy policy and industry best practices for data security.
    • Work with the legal and compliance teams to keep the privacy policy up-to-date, ensuring transparency in how location-based data is used for targeting.
    • Implement mechanisms for users to review, update, or withdraw their consent regarding location tracking at any time.
  4. Reporting and Auditing:
    • Maintain records of user consent responses and make these available for auditing purposes.
    • Develop reporting tools to track user consent rates and trends over time, providing insights into the effectiveness of privacy management strategies.
    • Regularly audit consent practices to ensure compliance with evolving privacy regulations.
  5. Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams:
    • Work with the SayPro Marketing Royalty SCMR team to align location-based ad targeting strategies with marketing campaigns and user privacy preferences.
    • Collaborate with the technical and product teams to ensure smooth integration of location-based services with SayPro’s advertising platforms.
    • Liaise with the legal team to ensure that user privacy and consent management protocols meet all legal requirements.
  6. User Education and Awareness:
    • Develop educational content for users regarding the use of location data in ads, the importance of consent, and how they can manage privacy preferences.
    • Communicate clearly with users regarding the benefits of location-based ads and how their data will be used.
  7. Continuous Improvement and Innovation:
    • Stay updated on the latest trends in data privacy, location-based services, and ad targeting technologies.
    • Continuously assess and improve the user consent system to enhance both user experience and compliance.
    • Experiment with new consent management technologies and user engagement strategies to increase consent rates while maintaining privacy standards.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Marketing, Law, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • 3+ years of experience in data privacy management, user consent systems, or related fields.
    • Experience with geolocation technologies and location-based advertising is a plus.
    • Familiarity with privacy regulations like GDPR, CCPA, and others governing the use of personal data.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of privacy regulations and user data protection.
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Familiarity with geolocation technologies and advertising platforms.
    • Experience in project management, cross-team collaboration, and reporting.
    • Excellent communication skills to explain complex privacy concepts to users and internal stakeholders.
