Job Title: Touchscreen Performance Evaluator for SayPro Classified Section
Department: SayPro Classified Office, SayPro Marketing Royalty SCMR
Reports To: SayPro Marketing Royalty SCMR Team Lead
Objective:
To evaluate and optimize the performance of the classified section across a range of touchscreen devices and screen sizes, ensuring mobile-friendly, responsive, and seamless user experience. This role will focus on testing the usability of the classified section in different touchscreen environments, with the goal of enhancing accessibility and improving overall customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct Device Compatibility Testing:
- Test the SayPro Classified Section on various touchscreen devices, including smartphones, tablets, and any emerging mobile technology.
- Ensure compatibility across a range of screen sizes (e.g., 4-inch smartphones, 10-inch tablets, etc.) and operating systems (iOS, Android, etc.).
- Perform thorough testing on both portrait and landscape modes to assess user interaction and layout responsiveness.
- Evaluate Touchscreen Usability:
- Assess the classified section’s usability on touchscreen devices, ensuring all elements are touch-friendly, intuitive, and easy to navigate.
- Test common actions such as scrolling, zooming, tapping, swiping, and dragging, verifying that these actions are responsive and accurate.
- Identify any touch-specific issues that could affect user interaction, such as buttons that are too small, links that are difficult to select, or forms that are hard to fill out on a touchscreen.
- Assess Load Time and Performance on Mobile Devices:
- Monitor and evaluate the loading time of the classified section on various mobile devices, checking for any delays or performance issues during navigation.
- Test page transitions, image rendering, and text display to ensure a smooth, uninterrupted experience.
- Identify any performance bottlenecks that may arise from touchscreen navigation and make recommendations for optimization.
- Mobile User Interface (UI) Design Evaluation:
- Evaluate the mobile user interface (UI) design for touch-friendliness. Ensure that buttons, icons, and other interactive elements are appropriately sized and placed for easy access.
- Assess the flow of the user interface from screen to screen, ensuring that users can easily complete tasks such as browsing, submitting ads, and interacting with other classified sections.
- Work closely with the UI/UX design team to provide feedback on how the classified section’s design can be improved for mobile use.
- Conduct Accessibility Testing:
- Perform testing to ensure that the classified section is accessible on all touchscreen devices, including those with accessibility features enabled (e.g., screen readers, high contrast mode).
- Evaluate the navigation and readability for users with disabilities, and ensure compliance with WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) for mobile interfaces.
- Report and Document Findings:
- Keep detailed records of all tests, findings, and recommendations for improvements, including screenshots, device details, and performance metrics.
- Compile regular reports summarizing the results of touchscreen performance testing and present them to the SayPro Classified Office and SayPro Marketing Royalty SCMR teams.
- Provide actionable insights and suggestions for enhancing the mobile experience, focusing on touch interactions and overall functionality.
- Collaborate with Development and Design Teams:
- Collaborate with the SayPro Classified development and design teams to address identified issues and work together on enhancing the touch experience.
- Participate in design reviews and provide input on new features or updates to ensure the classified section remains mobile-friendly.
- Test new releases of the classified section and any updates made to mobile features to verify improvements in touchscreen usability.
- Stay Updated with Industry Trends:
- Stay informed about the latest trends in mobile technology, touchscreen devices, and UI/UX design.
- Monitor emerging devices, operating systems, and mobile features to proactively test the classified section’s compatibility and performance.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Proven experience in mobile usability testing and touchscreen device compatibility testing.
- Familiarity with mobile application testing tools and methodologies (e.g., BrowserStack, Device Farm).
- Experience in mobile performance testing (loading time, responsiveness, etc.).
- Technical Knowledge:
- Understanding of mobile web technologies, responsive web design, and touch-specific interactions.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices for mobile applications.
- Familiarity with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and other front-end technologies that impact touchscreen usability.
- Analytical Skills:
- Strong ability to identify issues with usability and performance on various touchscreen devices.
- Ability to evaluate both technical and design aspects of the classified section for mobile optimization.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to document issues clearly and offer actionable solutions.
- Communication Skills:
- Ability to effectively communicate findings and collaborate with the development, design, and marketing teams.
- Strong report writing skills, including the ability to present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
