Job Title: Touchscreen Performance Evaluator

Job Overview:
As a Touchscreen Performance Evaluator for SayPro, your primary responsibility will be to ensure that the touchscreen functionalities of our classified platform perform at the highest standard, providing a seamless user experience. Your focus will be on evaluating the performance of scrolling, swiping, and tapping functions across the platform to guarantee a smooth and responsive touch interface, especially for mobile users. You will work closely with the SayPro Marketing team and the SayPro Classified Office to ensure that the mobile interface is user-friendly and optimized for ease of navigation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate Scrolling Performance:
- Test and assess the responsiveness of scrolling functions across mobile devices.
- Ensure smooth, fluid scrolling behavior on all sections of the classified platform (including search results, categories, and ad details).
- Identify and report any issues related to delayed or inconsistent scrolling.
- Collaborate with the development team to troubleshoot and resolve scrolling performance issues.
- Assess Swiping Functionality:
- Ensure the swiping functionality (such as browsing through images or pages) is smooth and intuitive.
- Test different swipe gestures to guarantee responsiveness on various mobile devices.
- Evaluate the speed, accuracy, and ease of swipe actions on touchscreens.
- Report any lags or functional inconsistencies in swiping and collaborate on fixing them.
- Evaluate Tapping Performance:
- Test tapping functionality for buttons, links, form submissions, and other touch elements.
- Ensure taps are recognized promptly and accurately without delay.
- Analyze the feedback mechanisms (visual or haptic) to ensure that users know their input was successful.
- Investigate and resolve any instances where tap actions do not register as intended.
- Ensure Mobile-Friendly Touch Interface:
- Work with the design and development teams to ensure the platform interface is designed for touch-friendly experiences.
- Test the interface on various mobile devices (iOS, Android, tablets, and smartphones) to ensure compatibility and ease of use.
- Evaluate button sizes, tap zones, and interactive elements to make sure they are appropriately sized for touch interactions.
- Conduct Usability Testing for Mobile Devices:
- Perform usability tests on mobile devices to identify pain points in the touchscreen interaction.
- Collect feedback from test users and analyze their experiences related to touchscreen interactions.
- Create detailed reports on user feedback, highlighting areas that need improvement or attention.
- Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution:
- Detect issues that affect the touchscreen’s responsiveness, including delays, lag, or misaligned touch points.
- Work with the engineering team to identify underlying issues causing poor performance.
- Implement strategies for fixing touchscreen lag and other performance-related problems.
- Collaborate with Marketing Team:
- Share insights with the marketing team regarding user touch interface performance, ensuring alignment with branding and user experience goals.
- Report on the effectiveness of usability adjustments to ensure the mobile platform meets customer satisfaction standards.
- Ensure that the interface is optimized not only for functionality but also for visual appeal to enhance user interaction.
- Continuous Monitoring and Feedback Loop:
- Regularly monitor the performance of touchscreen functionality and track metrics such as responsiveness, load time, and user engagement.
- Provide ongoing reports on performance testing and results, ensuring continuous improvement.
- Adapt and refine performance evaluation strategies based on changes in platform updates or mobile technology.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, User Experience Design, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in usability testing, mobile platform testing, or quality assurance related to touchscreen interfaces.
- Experience in evaluating mobile user interfaces, particularly with regard to touch functionality.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with mobile usability testing tools.
- Knowledge of common mobile device operating systems (iOS, Android).
- Understanding of mobile user behavior and design principles for touch interfaces.
- Strong communication skills to report issues and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented and able to spot inconsistencies or problems that could affect user experience.
