Position Overview: The SayPro Classified Tagging Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining an effective tagging strategy for all classified ads posted on the SayPro website. This role is essential in ensuring that the tagging system is used to its full potential to organize, categorize, and optimize the discoverability of classified ads. The Tagging Specialist will work closely with various teams, including marketing and content, to improve user experience, drive traffic, and ensure that tags are aligned with SayPro’s strategic goals, including the SayPro Marketing Royalty SCMR.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Tagging Strategy Development

  • Goal: Create a clear, consistent tagging strategy that improves the discoverability of classified ads and enhances user experience.
  • Collaborate with product managers and marketing teams to define the goals and purpose of tagging within the SayPro Classified platform.
  • Develop a robust system to categorize and tag ads in a manner that is consistent, relevant, and easy to navigate for users.
  • Define and maintain a list of tags that are in alignment with current trends, market needs, and user search behaviors.
  • Ensure that tags reflect relevant keywords that potential buyers and users are searching for.

2. Tag Management

  • Goal: Create and maintain an efficient tag management system for SayPro Classified ads.
  • Build and manage a centralized system for creating, storing, and organizing tags for all classified ads on the platform.
  • Review and update tags periodically to ensure that they remain relevant and aligned with evolving market trends.
  • Identify opportunities for tag consolidation to reduce redundancy and improve search engine optimization (SEO).
  • Integrate the tagging system with SayPro’s back-end systems to streamline the process for content creators and administrators.

3. Ad Tagging and Categorization

  • Goal: Ensure that every ad posted on SayPro is appropriately tagged for efficient categorization and discoverability.
  • Work closely with the content team to ensure all classified ads are tagged properly before publication.
  • Tag ads based on their content, location, type, and any other relevant criteria that will help users easily find the information they are looking for.
  • Develop tagging protocols to classify ads by industry, target audience, and other relevant demographics.
  • Ensure that ads under the SayPro Marketing Royalty SCMR are tagged with specific identifiers that highlight their premium status.

4. SayPro Monthly SCMR-5 Reporting

  • Goal: Generate monthly reports on classified tag management and usage for continuous improvement.
  • Compile and analyze data on tag usage, engagement, and performance on a monthly basis under the SayPro Monthly January SCMR-5 framework.
  • Identify high-performing tags and make recommendations for adding or removing tags based on data-driven insights.
  • Present monthly reports to senior leadership, highlighting key findings and trends in ad tagging, categorization, and engagement.
  • Provide actionable recommendations for optimizing the tag management system based on the SCMR-5 metrics.

5. Collaboration and Cross-functional Support

  • Goal: Work across teams to ensure that tagging is effectively integrated into broader marketing and content strategies.
  • Collaborate with the SayPro Marketing Royalty SCMR team to ensure tags are aligned with the overall marketing strategy and are utilized effectively to drive engagement and traffic.
  • Provide training and guidance to content creators and other team members on proper tagging practices and best practices.
  • Support the SEO team by ensuring that the tagging system contributes positively to the platform’s search engine visibility.

6. Quality Control and Error Management

  • Goal: Ensure that all tags are applied correctly and consistently.
  • Perform regular audits of classified ads to ensure that they are tagged correctly.
  • Work with the quality control team to identify and resolve issues related to improperly tagged or miscategorized ads.
  • Continuously refine tagging processes to reduce errors and improve the efficiency of the tagging workflow.

7. Tagging Optimization

  • Goal: Continuously improve the tag system to adapt to evolving user needs.
  • Monitor user feedback and make adjustments to the tagging strategy as needed.
  • Keep up to date with industry standards for tagging, categorization, and SEO practices to ensure the SayPro platform remains competitive.
  • Test new tagging formats or tools to determine how they can improve user engagement or SEO performance.

8. SEO and User Experience Focus

  • Goal: Use tags strategically to improve SEO and drive traffic to classified ads.
  • Work with the SEO team to ensure that tagged classified ads are optimized for search engines.
  • Research and identify high-performing keywords and incorporate them into the tag system for better ad visibility.
  • Analyze user behavior and tag performance to continuously optimize the platform’s searchability.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in content management, SEO, or digital marketing, with a strong focus on tag management or classification systems.
  • Technical Knowledge: Proficiency with CMS platforms, tag management tools, SEO practices, and analytic tools.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data related to tag performance, engagement, and trends.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present reports.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail, especially when managing large datasets and ensuring that tags are applied consistently across all ads.
  • Project Management: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • SEO Expertise: In-depth knowledge of SEO best practices and their application to ad tagging.
  • Experience with Marketing Platforms: Familiarity with digital marketing tools and platforms such as Google Analytics, SEMrush, or similar tools.
  • Content Strategy: Experience in developing content strategies and understanding how tagging integrates into larger marketing initiatives.

Reports to:

  • SayPro Classified Marketing Team or Marketing Director, depending on the organizational structure.

Location:

  • This role will be based in the SayPro Classified Office.
