Role Purpose
The Mobile Usability Specialist is responsible for optimizing the user experience of the SayPro Classifieds section on mobile devices. This role focuses on identifying and resolving usability issues that mobile users encounter, particularly related to touchscreen navigation. The role supports the strategic objective of SayPro Marketing Royalty to increase user engagement, satisfaction, and accessibility through touch-friendly interfaces.
Key Responsibilities
1. Review and Analyze User Feedback
- Collect, categorize, and analyze user feedback and complaints related to the mobile version of SayPro Classifieds, with particular attention to reports received under the SCMR-5 (SayPro Monthly March).
- Develop comprehensive reports summarizing user pain points, usability challenges, and design flaws.
- Engage with SayPro’s customer support and data analysis teams to cross-reference usability issues with user behavior metrics.
2. Touchscreen Usability Testing
- Conduct regular usability tests of the mobile classified interface using real devices and emulators.
- Simulate real user scenarios including ad browsing, posting, category navigation, and filtering on touch devices.
- Identify areas where the touchscreen design causes confusion, slow interaction, or accidental taps/swipes.
3. Interface Review and Recommendations
- Evaluate the current mobile interface of the SayPro Classified platform against usability standards (e.g., WCAG, Google Mobile-Friendly Test).
- Recommend interface improvements such as larger touch targets, responsive design adjustments, swipe navigation enhancements, and reduced scrolling efforts.
- Collaborate with UX designers to prototype touch-friendly components (e.g., cards, buttons, menus, input fields).
4. Mobile Usability Report Management
- Prepare monthly usability review documents for the SayPro Marketing Royalty team, including findings from user feedback and internal testing.
- Ensure feedback from the SCMR-5 and other monthly reports is tracked and responded to appropriately.
- Maintain a version-controlled log of all usability enhancements, test cases, and feedback history.
5. Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with SayPro developers, designers, testers, and marketing professionals to ensure mobile usability standards are implemented in line with SayPro’s strategic branding.
- Participate in design review meetings, sprint planning, and post-deployment usability checks.
6. Continuous Improvement
- Monitor usability trends and innovations in mobile classified platforms.
- Suggest and implement A/B tests to validate the impact of UI/UX improvements.
- Stay updated with the latest touchscreen usability standards, mobile interface technologies, and behavioral analytics tools.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential:
- Proven experience in mobile UX/UI testing or digital product usability roles.
- Strong knowledge of mobile usability standards, guidelines, and responsive design principles.
- Familiarity with analytics and feedback platforms (e.g., Hotjar, Google Analytics, UserTesting).
- Ability to analyze both qualitative and quantitative feedback.
- Excellent communication skills for reporting and cross-team collaboration.
Desirable:
- Experience with mobile classified ad systems or similar platforms.
- Certification in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or similar fields.
- Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS and mobile design frameworks.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
