Position Summary
The Mobile Usability Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring optimal user experience across SayPro’s mobile interfaces. Working within the SayPro Classified Office under the SayPro Marketing Royalty, this specialist is responsible for designing and improving mobile user interfaces (UI) that are intuitive, accessible, and touch-friendly. The focus is on implementing mobile usability strategies aligned with SayPro Monthly Classified Touchscreen Usability standards (SCMR-5), specifically to enhance usability on smartphones and tablets.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design User Interface (UI) Improvements
- Lead the redesign of SayPro mobile interfaces with a focus on touch interaction.
- Ensure all interactive elements (buttons, form fields, icons, links) are:
- Touch-friendly
- Clearly visible and distinguishable
- Properly spaced to avoid mis-taps
- Evaluate and optimize font sizes, contrast, and color usage for readability on mobile screens.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers to create prototypes reflecting the latest touch usability standards.
2. Conduct Usability Testing for Mobile
- Organize and conduct field usability testing sessions with SayPro mobile users.
- Gather user feedback specifically regarding touch interaction, navigation ease, and content clarity.
- Analyze usage behavior on classified ad pages to identify patterns or pain points.
3. Compliance with SCMR-5 Standards
- Apply principles from SayPro Monthly March SCMR-5 on Touchscreen Usability.
- Maintain documentation and internal compliance reports reflecting improvements made in alignment with SCMR-5.
4. Collaborate Across SayPro Departments
- Work in coordination with SayPro Developers, Classified Content Managers, and Accessibility Officers.
- Advise SayPro Classified Office teams on best practices for touch-responsive design.
- Train internal staff on basic mobile usability standards and touchscreen-specific user expectations.
5. Monitor Performance and Engagement
- Use analytics tools to track improvements in bounce rates, session durations, and ad interactions on mobile.
- Measure the impact of UI changes on user satisfaction and engagement.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Interaction Design, Mobile Development, or related field.
- Proven experience in mobile UI/UX design with a portfolio demonstrating touch-optimized interfaces.
- Proficient with design tools (Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch) and mobile prototyping.
- Understanding of mobile accessibility standards and user-centric design.
- Strong analytical skills; comfortable using Google Analytics or similar platforms to measure usability KPIs.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working in a classified ads or content-driven mobile platform.
- Familiarity with SayPro systems, products, or marketing structures.
- Prior involvement in roles related to SCMR guidelines or internal SayPro Monthly documentation is a plus.
