- Schedule regular sync meetings with the DevOps team to align on deployment timelines, testing phases, and rollback plans.
- Confirm readiness of the staging environment before any live push.
- Identify any dependencies or potential conflicts in the update process that may affect live site performance.
2. Conduct Pre-Deployment Quality Assurance
- Review and verify all theme customization elements completed under SCMR-5, ensuring they align with SayPro’s branding guidelines.
- Test new features and visual elements in staging to confirm compatibility across major browsers and devices.
- Document test cases and perform user acceptance testing (UAT) for all major customizations.
3. Version Control and Change Management
- Ensure all changes are committed to the source control management repository with proper documentation and tagging.
- Track changes using commit messages that clearly describe updates, enhancements, or bug fixes included in SCMR-5.
- Collaborate with DevOps to create backup snapshots of the current production environment before deployment.
4. Brand Alignment and Theme Consistency
- Confirm that all design elements, including color schemes, typography, logos, icons, and page layouts, reflect SayPro’s visual identity.
- Work closely with the SayPro Marketing Royalty department to receive approval for branding choices.
- Apply dynamic styling rules and CSS enhancements for consistent branding across different site sections (ads, user dashboard, categories, etc.).
5. Secure and Controlled Rollout
- Implement a phased deployment strategy if needed, especially for high-traffic modules, to reduce downtime or user disruption.
- Monitor live site performance and error logs post-deployment to quickly identify and address any issues.
- Maintain open communication lines with DevOps and the SayPro Classified Office for rapid issue escalation.
6. Post-Deployment Reporting and Documentation
- Provide a deployment summary report outlining:
- Customizations implemented
- Issues encountered and resolved
- Performance metrics observed after deployment
- Update internal documentation and user manuals to reflect changes made in SCMR-5.
- Gather stakeholder feedback and compile recommendations for future theme customization cycles.
