Good day, respected educators, SayPro colleagues, honoured guests, and beloved learners.

It is with immense joy and sincere gratitude that I stand before you today as the Deputy Treasurer of the SayPro Royal Committee on this very special occasion — Teacher Appreciation Day 2025.

Today, we pause to celebrate not just a profession, but a passion. Not just a career, but a calling. Our teachers are more than facilitators of knowledge — they are the foundation of our communities, the unsung heroes behind every success story, and the silent strength behind every confident voice.

As someone entrusted with managing SayPro’s resources, I am constantly reminded that our greatest investment — our wisest and most impactful investment — is not in buildings, or tools, or technology alone. It is in people. And no people are more deserving of our investment and appreciation than our teachers.

You are the ones who open minds, touch hearts, and build futures. You show up every day, often going beyond what is required — preparing lessons after hours, supporting learners beyond the curriculum, and planting seeds of courage, discipline, and ambition.

At SayPro, we recognise that no system, no development agenda, and no national progress is complete without the strong, steady hands of educators at its core. Your impact cannot be quantified by spreadsheets or measured by numbers — it is felt in every life you touch.

As Deputy Treasurer, I assure you that we are committed to advocating for stronger support for the teaching profession. We pledge to work with partners, both local and global, to ensure that teachers are equipped, recognized, and rewarded.
