Job Title: Ad Approval and Rejection Specialist

Job Purpose

The Ad Approval and Rejection Specialist is responsible for reviewing, approving, or rejecting classified ads submitted to SayPro’s platform. This role ensures that all listings comply with SayPro’s policies, industry standards, security guidelines, and user expectations while maintaining a high-quality classified marketplace.


Key Responsibilities & Tasks

1. Define and Update Ad Approval Guidelines

Develop Approval Criteria:

  • Establish clear guidelines for acceptable and unacceptable content based on SayPro’s policies.
  • Align guidelines with industry standards, legal requirements, and security best practices.
  • Ensure ads do not promote fraudulent, misleading, or prohibited activities.

Regularly Update Guidelines:

  • Monitor market trends, competitor practices, and evolving security concerns.
  • Adjust SayPro’s ad approval framework accordingly.
  • Collaborate with the SayPro Classified Office and SayPro Marketing Royalty SCMR to integrate policy changes.

Communicate Guidelines to Users:

  • Create a user-friendly guideline document to help advertisers submit compliant ads.
  • Publish updates through SayPro’s Monthly Security Reports (SCMR-5) and Quarterly Reviews.
  • Offer FAQs and training materials for users to improve ad compliance.

2. Review and Approve Ads

Ad Content Inspection:

  • Verify ad descriptions, images, and links for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
  • Ensure all ads meet SayPro’s security and quality standards.
  • Detect and reject spam, misleading information, or prohibited items.

Fraud and Security Screening:

  • Use automated and manual screening tools to detect suspicious or fraudulent ads.
  • Flag duplicate, counterfeit, or illegal listings for review.
  • Conduct IP address and metadata checks for suspicious patterns.

Categorization & Tagging:

  • Ensure ads are placed in the correct categories and subcategories for better searchability.
  • Apply appropriate tags, keywords, and metadata to enhance ad visibility.

3. Handle Ad Rejections and Appeals

Reject Non-Compliant Ads with Clear Justifications:

  • Provide detailed reasons for rejection, referencing specific SayPro policies.
  • Suggest corrections to advertisers to help them resubmit compliant ads.

Manage Advertiser Appeals:

  • Review appeals for previously rejected ads.
  • Work with SayPro Classified Office to ensure fair and consistent decision-making.
  • Update SayPro’s Classified Security and Data Protection Management System with appeal outcomes.

Monitor and Track Rejection Trends:

  • Identify recurring issues, user misunderstandings, or loopholes.
  • Suggest policy or system improvements to prevent repeated violations.

4. Enforce Compliance and Security Policies

Monitor Compliance with Local and Global Regulations:

  • Ensure ads comply with regional laws, including data protection (GDPR, CCPA).
  • Prevent ads that promote illegal activities, scams, or false advertising.

Collaborate with Security Teams:

  • Work with SayPro’s Security & Fraud Prevention Team to detect high-risk advertisers.
  • Report suspicious activities or security breaches.

Improve Automated Approval Processes:

  • Suggest improvements to AI and machine learning tools for better ad filtering.
  • Test and refine automated flagging systems for inappropriate content.

5. Maintain Performance and Quality Standards

Meet Approval Deadlines:

  • Process ads within set turnaround times to ensure a fast approval system.
  • Maintain an efficient workflow while balancing speed and accuracy.

Ensure Consistency in Decision-Making:

  • Regularly calibrate approval and rejection standards to avoid bias.
  • Participate in weekly quality control meetings to align review practices.

Provide Reports and Analytics:

  • Generate monthly reports on ad approval/rejection metrics.
  • Highlight trends, problem areas, and recommendations for policy changes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Digital Media, or a related field.
Experience: 2+ years in ad moderation, digital marketing, classified ad management, or policy enforcement.
Technical Skills: Familiarity with automated moderation tools, fraud detection software, and ad review dashboards.
Analytical Skills: Ability to assess ad content for compliance, security risks, and potential fraud.
Attention to Detail: Strong ability to spot errors, misleading claims, or policy violations.
Communication Skills: Clear and professional written communication for notifying advertisers about approvals or rejections.
