Job Summary

The Ad Approval & Rejection Specialist is responsible for reviewing classified ads submitted to the SayPro platform, ensuring compliance with security and content policies, and effectively communicating with users regarding ad approvals and rejections. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the integrity, legality, and quality of ads while ensuring a smooth experience for users.


Key Responsibilities

1. Review and Evaluate Submitted Ads

🔹 Verify Content Compliance

  • Check ads against SayPro’s Classified Security and Data Protection Management guidelines.
  • Ensure that ads do not contain prohibited content such as fraud, misinformation, illegal goods, or inappropriate material.
  • Validate that all images, descriptions, and links align with SayPro’s advertising policies.

🔹 Check Ad Accuracy and Completeness

  • Confirm that ads contain all required information, such as product/service details, pricing, and location.
  • Ensure that ads are correctly categorized and formatted for ease of browsing.

🔹 Assess Seller Legitimacy

  • Verify the identity of ad submitters when necessary.
  • Conduct additional security checks for suspicious listings or flagged users.

2. Approve or Reject Ads Based on SayPro Guidelines

🔹 Approve Ads That Meet All Standards

  • Approve and publish ads that comply with SayPro’s policies.
  • Ensure approved ads are displayed in the correct categories and sections.

🔹 Reject Ads That Violate Policies

  • Identify violations such as misleading claims, unauthorized items, or missing critical information.
  • Flag and reject fraudulent, deceptive, or incomplete ads.

3. Communicate with Users Regarding Rejected Ads

🔹 Notify Users of Rejection Reasons

  • Send detailed rejection notifications explaining why an ad was not approved.
  • Provide specific feedback on what needs to be corrected.
  • Use pre-approved response templates while allowing customization for unique cases.

🔹 Request Necessary Changes from Users

  • Guide users on how to modify and resubmit their ads for approval.
  • Provide clear instructions on what elements need improvement (e.g., content, images, pricing).
  • Suggest alternative ad formats or categories if necessary.

🔹 Handle User Queries & Appeals

  • Respond to user inquiries regarding ad rejection.
  • Review and reconsider rejected ads if users submit appeals with valid justifications and corrections.

4. Document and Report Ad Approval Metrics

🔹 Maintain Rejection Logs

  • Document the number of approved vs. rejected ads.
  • Track common reasons for rejection to identify trends and improve guidelines.

🔹 Generate Reports for SayPro Classified Office

  • Provide regular reports to SayPro Marketing Royalty SCMR regarding ad approval trends.
  • Highlight any recurring violations that may require updated policies or additional user education.
