Job Overview:

The Ad Categorization & Organization Specialist is responsible for classifying, tagging, and organizing ads within the SayPro platform. This ensures that listings are easy to find by potential buyers or clients, improving the platform’s usability and efficiency. The role involves applying structured categorization techniques, assigning relevant keywords, and maintaining a high level of data accuracy to optimize searchability.

This position aligns with the SayPro Monthly January SCMR-5 and SayPro Quarterly Classified Security and Data Protection Management framework to ensure classified ads comply with SayPro’s security and data management policies.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Ad Categorization & Classification

Analyze Ads for Proper Categorization

  • Review the content of each ad submission and classify it into the correct category and subcategory.
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy in the categorization process.
  • Regularly update and refine category structures based on emerging trends and user behavior.

Maintain Uniform Category Guidelines

  • Develop and implement category guidelines to standardize ad classifications.
  • Educate advertisers on selecting the correct categories during ad submission.
  • Work closely with moderators to handle misclassified ads.

2. Tagging Ads for Searchability

Assign Relevant Keywords

  • Tag each ad with appropriate and highly relevant keywords to improve search results.
  • Use keyword research tools and historical search data to identify the best tags for each category.
  • Ensure that each tag enhances ad discoverability while maintaining data integrity.

Optimize Metadata for SEO

  • Implement search engine optimization (SEO) techniques to enhance ad visibility.
  • Include strategic keywords in ad titles, descriptions, and metadata.
  • Monitor keyword performance and make adjustments as necessary.

Improve Internal Search Algorithms

  • Collaborate with the IT and development teams to refine SayPro’s search algorithms.

3. Quality Control & Data Validation

Monitor and Remove Inappropriate Content

  • Ensure ads adhere to SayPro’s guidelines and security policies.
  • Flag and remove misleading or fraudulent ads.

Maintain Up-to-Date Ad Listings

  • Periodically review and update old or expired listings.
  • Assist users in refreshing or reclassifying their ads when needed.
  • Archive outdated listings while maintaining historical data for analytics.

4. Security & Compliance in Ad Management

Ensure Compliance with SayPro’s Security Standards

  • Adhere to SayPro Monthly January SCMR-5 and SayPro Quarterly Classified Security and Data Protection Management policies.
  • Protect sensitive advertiser and user data in accordance with SayPro’s security protocols.
  • Work with the security team to detect and prevent fraudulent activities within classified ads.

Enforce Ad Verification & Approval Standards

  • Implement measures to verify the authenticity of ads before publishing.
  • Use AI tools or manual checks to detect anomalies in listings.
  • Maintain a detailed record of flagged or removed ads for audit purposes.

5. User Support & Training

Guide Advertisers on Proper Categorization

  • Provide training materials and tutorials for advertisers on selecting the right categories and tags.
  • Offer customer support to users struggling with ad submission.
  • Develop FAQs and help documents on best practices for ad organization.

Collect & Analyze User Feedback

  • Gather insights from users on search difficulties and ad discoverability.
  • Suggest platform improvements based on user behavior and feedback.
