Overview:
The Classified Ad Moderator is responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and compliance of classified ads posted on SayPro’s platform. The role involves monitoring ads to detect inaccuracies, misleading content, fraudulent activities, and policy violations. The moderator will work closely with the SayPro Monthly January SCMR-5 SayPro Quarterly Classified Security and Data Protection Management Team to maintain a safe and trustworthy marketplace.
Key Responsibilities & Tasks
1. Monitor Ads for Inaccuracies
✅ Verify Ad Descriptions
- Review classified ads to ensure descriptions match the product, service, or job being advertised.
- Detect vague, misleading, or incomplete descriptions and request clarifications or edits from advertisers.
- Ensure that descriptions do not include prohibited content, false claims, or deceptive wording.
✅ Check Pricing Accuracy
- Validate pricing information against market standards and previous listings to identify overpricing, underpricing, or fraudulent pricing schemes.
- Reject ads that contain unrealistic prices or hidden charges.
- Contact advertisers to request corrections for misleading price listings.
✅ Confirm Contact Information
- Ensure the provided contact details (email, phone number, business address) are correct and match the advertiser’s profile.
- Flag listings with suspicious or non-functional contact details for further investigation.
- Verify that no unauthorized third-party contacts are included in the ad.
✅ Cross-Check with SayPro Security Standards
- Ensure ads comply with the SayPro Classified Security and Data Protection Guidelines.
- Work with the SayPro Quarterly Classified Security Team to detect any high-risk postings.
- Monitor for duplicate ads, spam content, and any attempts to bypass SayPro’s ad policies.
2. Detect and Prevent Fraudulent or Suspicious Listings
✅ Identify and Report Fraudulent Ads
- Look for signs of scam postings, including:
- Fake job listings
- Counterfeit product sales
- Unrealistic business opportunities
- Report suspected fraud cases to the SayPro Security and Compliance Team.
✅ Enforce SayPro Ad Policies
- Ensure each listing meets SayPro’s Classified Advertising Standards.
- Reject ads containing:
- Offensive, inappropriate, or illegal content
- Misleading business claims or false promotions
- Any material violating SayPro Marketing Royalty SCMR guidelines
✅ Monitor for Repeated Violations
- Track repeat offenders who consistently violate ad moderation rules.
- Escalate cases of persistent non-compliance to the SayPro Classified Office Management Team.
3. Approve, Reject, or Request Edits for Ads
✅ Approve Well-Formatted, Compliant Ads
- Ensure ads meet SayPro’s classified listing requirements before publishing.
- Validate that they provide clear, accurate, and relevant information.
✅ Reject Non-Compliant Ads
- Decline ads that contain:
- Incomplete or misleading information
- Prohibited keywords or restricted products/services
- Suspicious contact details
✅ Request Edits for Incorrect Ads
- Notify advertisers of the required corrections in their listings.
- Provide clear instructions on how to edit and resubmit their ads.
- Maintain records of requested revisions for future reference.
4. Maintain Classified Ad Records & Reports
✅ Keep Detailed Logs of Reviewed Ads
- Maintain a record of moderated ads, including approvals, rejections, and requested modifications.
- Store evidence of flagged or reported fraudulent ads.
✅ Generate Weekly and Monthly Reports
- Compile data on classified ad trends, moderation actions, and security issues.
- Submit reports to the SayPro Classified Security and Data Protection Management Team for further analysis.
✅ Contribute to Platform Security Enhancements
- Provide feedback to improve the SayPro classified ad submission and approval process.
- Suggest enhancements in fraud detection tools and automated moderation workflows.
