Job Title: Classified Ad Moderator

Department: SayPro Classified Office

Reports To: SayPro Marketing Royalty SCMR

Job Purpose:

The Classified Ad Moderator is responsible for reviewing, approving, and maintaining classified ads posted on SayPro’s platform. This role ensures that all advertisements meet SayPro’s branding, content policies, and security standards while protecting users from fraudulent or misleading content. The moderator plays a crucial role in ensuring consistency, compliance, and quality control of all classified ads displayed on the platform.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Ensure Consistency and Brand Compliance

🔹 Review images, descriptions, and titles to align with SayPro’s branding and quality guidelines.
🔹 Standardize formatting and language to ensure uniformity across all ads.
🔹 Remove or edit content that does not fit SayPro’s branding and ethical guidelines.
🔹 Ensure that ads follow category-specific posting rules (e.g., job ads, real estate, services).

2. Review and Approve Ad Submissions

🔹 Manually check each submitted ad for compliance with SayPro’s policies.
🔹 Ensure that images and text meet quality standards, avoiding blurry, misleading, or offensive content.
🔹 Validate ad content to ensure accuracy, proper categorization, and relevance.
🔹 Check for duplicate ads and prevent spam by enforcing a “no duplicate listing” policy.

3. Monitor and Enforce Security & Data Protection Policies

🔹 Ensure that classified ads do not contain sensitive or personal information that violates data protection laws.
🔹 Identify and remove fraudulent, misleading, or suspicious ads that may compromise user security.
🔹 Report and track any security risks, scams, or fraudulent activities related to classified postings.
🔹 Work in collaboration with SayPro’s cybersecurity team to implement additional safety measures for ad listings.

4. Content Moderation and Compliance

🔹 Ensure that all ads comply with SayPro’s advertising policies and local/national regulations.
🔹 Reject ads containing hate speech, violence, inappropriate, or illegal content.
🔹 Flag and escalate suspicious ads to higher management for further investigation.
🔹 Keep up-to-date with SayPro’s evolving terms of service and content policies.

5. Manage User-Reported Ads and Complaints

🔹 Respond to user-reported issues regarding misleading or offensive advertisements.
🔹 Investigate and take action on reports related to fraud, spam, or policy violations.
🔹 Communicate with advertisers regarding violations and necessary modifications.
🔹 Maintain a log of rejected ads and the reasons for rejection for future reference.

6. Perform Regular Quality Audits

🔹 Conduct weekly audits to ensure that previously approved ads remain compliant.
🔹 Perform random ad checks to prevent policy violations from slipping through moderation.
🔹 Identify areas for improvement in the moderation process and suggest policy updates.
🔹 Work closely with the SayPro Classified Office and Marketing Royalty SCMR to refine ad moderation strategies.

7. Assist with System Enhancements & Automation

🔹 Provide feedback to developers on automated moderation tools and AI-assisted filters.
🔹 Suggest enhancements to improve the efficiency of the moderation process.
🔹 Participate in testing and evaluating new moderation technologies.


Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Ad Approval Speed: Ensure that classified ads are reviewed within a set timeframe.
Policy Compliance Rate: Maintain a high percentage of ads that meet SayPro’s guidelines.
Fraud Prevention: Identify and take down fraudulent ads promptly.
User Satisfaction: Resolve user-reported complaints in a timely and professional manner.
Ad Quality Score: Maintain a high standard of ad presentation and consistency.

  • Marketing Team (to ensure branding consistency)
  • Customer Support Team (to address user concerns and complaints)
