Job Overview:
The Classified Location-Based Search Specialist will be responsible for ensuring that the search results within the SayPro Classified platform are highly relevant, accurate, and optimized based on geographic input from users. This position plays a pivotal role in enhancing user experience by enabling search and filtering features that integrate geographic location data into the classified ads search functionality. You will work closely with SayPro’s marketing and technical teams to develop and refine location-based search strategies, ensuring that users can quickly and effectively find the ads most relevant to their location.
Key Responsibilities:
- Geographic-Based Search Optimization
- Implement and maintain geographic location-based search functionality within SayPro Classifieds.
- Collaborate with developers to ensure the search algorithm effectively integrates geographic data inputs such as postal codes, cities, and regions.
- Design and optimize search filters that allow users to refine their results based on location, distance, and other geographic criteria.
- Continuously evaluate the accuracy and efficiency of the location-based search and adjust parameters to improve search quality.
- Integrate with mapping and geolocation technologies to enhance location-based filtering and search experiences.
- User Experience Enhancement
- Work to refine the search experience for users by ensuring that the platform delivers the most relevant results based on user input, particularly geographic queries.
- Ensure the filtering process is seamless and intuitive for users looking to buy, sell, or search classified ads in specific locations.
- Conduct user testing and analyze behavior to better understand pain points in the location-based search and make necessary improvements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to location-based search functionalities and user queries.
- Collaboration with Marketing and Development Teams
- Liaise with the SayPro Marketing Royalty SCMR team to ensure geographic search optimization aligns with the monthly marketing strategies and performance metrics.

- Data Management and Reporting
- Monitor and analyze search data and user behavior to assess the effectiveness of location-based search functionality.
- Provide monthly reports on search performance, geographic search success, and user feedback to senior management.
- Identify patterns, trends, and issues related to the location-based search features, making data-driven recommendations for enhancements.
- Continuous Improvement and Innovation
- Keep up to date with industry trends, new geolocation technologies, and best practices in search engine optimization (SEO) to ensure SayPro remains at the forefront of location-based search solutions.
- Lead testing efforts, such as A/B testing and user feedback sessions, to determine which changes yield the best user experience.
- Propose innovative solutions for leveraging location-based services and search filters to improve the platform’s competitiveness in the market.
- Adherence to SCMR Protocols
- Ensure the location-based search functionality complies with the guidelines and protocols established by SayPro Monthly SCMR-5 and SayPro Marketing Royalty SCMR.
- Align search feature performance metrics with the SayPro Monthly goals and the specific parameters laid out in the January SCMR.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree or specialized certification in geographic information systems (GIS) or search engine optimization (SEO) is a plus.
- Technical Expertise:
- Proficiency with geographic information systems (GIS), location-based data technologies, and APIs.
- Hands-on experience with search engine optimization (SEO) tools and techniques.
- Familiarity with classified ads platforms and online marketplace functionality is highly preferred.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze data and user behavior to develop and refine location-based search features.
