Job Title: Data Privacy Auditor
Department: SayPro Classified Office under SayPro Marketing Royalty SCMR
Reports To: Head of Data Compliance / Chief Privacy Officer
Job Summary:
The Data Privacy Auditor is responsible for ensuring SayPro’s website and platforms are fully compliant with applicable data protection laws and regulations. This includes conducting regular data privacy audits, monitoring user data protection practices, and implementing necessary changes to safeguard user information. The role also involves ensuring compliance with SayPro Monthly January SCMR-5 and SayPro Monthly Classified User Privacy regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Data Privacy Audits & Compliance Monitoring
- Conduct monthly and annual audits of SayPro’s data protection practices.
- Evaluate compliance with applicable global and local data protection laws, including GDPR, POPIA, CCPA, and other relevant regulations.
- Identify data privacy risks and recommend corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain audit checklists and reports for compliance tracking.
- Work with IT and legal teams to update privacy policies and data protection procedures.
2. SayPro Website & Platform Compliance
- Ensure that SayPro’s website, applications, and digital platforms comply with data privacy regulations.
- Review and monitor third-party integrations and ensure compliance with privacy standards.
- Assess and improve cookie policies, consent management, and data retention policies.
3. User Data Privacy & Security Measures
- Monitor SayPro Classified User Privacy policies and ensure user data is protected.
- Conduct privacy impact assessments (PIAs) and data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) for new and existing processes.
- Collaborate with IT security teams to implement robust encryption, access controls, and secure data storage solutions.
- Investigate data breaches and coordinate responses as per legal and regulatory requirements.
4. Employee Training & Awareness
- Develop and conduct training sessions on data privacy compliance for employees.
- Ensure all SayPro departments are aware of their responsibilities regarding user data protection.
- Keep employees updated on changes in data protection laws and best practices.
5. Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of privacy audits, compliance assessments, and corrective actions.
- Prepare reports for senior management on data privacy performance and compliance status.
- Work with legal teams to respond to regulatory inquiries and audits.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Information Security, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certification in Data Privacy (e.g., CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT) is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in data privacy, compliance, or audit roles.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of global data protection laws (GDPR, CCPA, POPIA, etc.).
- Experience in conducting privacy audits and risk assessments.
- Familiarity with data security best practices, encryption, and access controls.
- Knowledge of privacy tools and consent management systems.
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and training abilities.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with legal, IT, and marketing teams.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Performance Metrics & KPIs
- Completion of monthly and annual privacy audits on schedule.
- Reduction in data privacy risks and regulatory compliance issues.

Work Environment
