Position Title: Demographic and Segmentation Analyst

Reports To: Marketing Manager / Lead Data Analyst
Job Overview: The Demographic and Segmentation Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting user data to better understand the behaviors, preferences, and engagement patterns of different customer segments interacting with classified ads on the SayPro platform. This role involves conducting detailed demographic analysis to identify key user groups and providing actionable insights to inform marketing strategies. The primary objective is to optimize ad targeting, improve user engagement, and maximize ad relevance, ultimately increasing the overall performance of SayPro’s advertising platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Collection & Management:
- Collect and manage data from various sources, including SayPro Monthly January SCMR-5, SayPro Monthly Classified User Insights, and other key analytical tools.
- Ensure accurate and efficient data collection by utilizing both primary and secondary data collection methods.
- Collaborate with the IT and data engineering teams to enhance the database and reporting systems used for demographic tracking.
- Segmentation Analysis:
- Perform detailed segmentation of SayPro’s user base using demographic factors such as age, gender, location, interests, and other behavioral data points.
- Create comprehensive user profiles that help to understand which groups engage with specific types of ads.
- Identify patterns and trends in user interactions with different ad categories (e.g., apparel, promotions, real estate, etc.).
- Behavioral & Engagement Analysis:
- Analyze user engagement metrics such as click-through rates (CTR), conversion rates, bounce rates, and time spent on ads.
- Use these engagement metrics to determine which types of ads attract the most interaction from specific demographic groups.
- Conduct A/B testing and behavioral experiments to fine-tune ad targeting strategies and enhance the effectiveness of campaigns.
- Monthly Reports & Insights Generation:
- Produce detailed, insightful reports for the SayPro Marketing team on the latest demographic trends and user behavior, derived from the SayPro Monthly January SCMR-5 and SayPro Monthly Classified User Insights.
- Present findings in clear, easy-to-understand formats for both technical and non-technical stakeholders, highlighting key insights and areas for improvement.
- Market Trends and Competitor Analysis:
- Research and analyze competitor activity within the classified ad space to benchmark SayPro’s performance.
- Track market trends, emerging demographics, and changing user behaviors that could affect ad performance.
- Recommend strategies for adapting SayPro’s marketing efforts based on findings.
- Collaboration with Marketing and Product Teams:
- Work closely with the marketing team to design targeted advertising strategies based on demographic insights.
- Partner with the product development team to tailor SayPro’s classified ad offerings based on user preferences and engagement data.
- Provide data-driven support for ad campaigns, helping the marketing team optimize targeting, messaging, and creative content.
- Strategic Insights and Recommendations:
- Provide actionable insights and strategic recommendations based on demographic and behavioral data to guide ad campaign development.
- Collaborate with the Sales team to identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling classified ad solutions based on user segments.
- Help the marketing team refine customer personas and develop messaging strategies that resonate with each segment.
- Continuous Learning and Professional Development:
- Stay updated on the latest trends in user behavior analytics, digital marketing strategies, and ad targeting techniques.
- Continuously explore new methods, tools, and techniques for enhancing demographic and segmentation analysis.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Data Analytics, Statistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in demographic segmentation, data analysis, or digital marketing analytics, preferably in the e-commerce or classified ads industry.
- Strong proficiency in data analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Tableau, Microsoft Excel) and experience with CRM software.
- Solid understanding of demographic analysis and segmentation techniques.
- Experience with user behavior analysis, including interpreting KPIs like CTR, engagement rates, and conversion metrics.
- Ability to work with large datasets and perform data cleaning, validation, and analysis.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex data insights into actionable business strategies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Data Analytics, Marketing, or a related field.
- Familiarity with SayPro Classified platforms and their user engagement features.
- Experience with advanced data analysis techniques such as predictive modeling or machine learning.
