Position Overview:

The Audience Segmentation & Demographic Analyst will play a pivotal role in leveraging user data to segment audiences effectively. This role focuses on analyzing user behavior and engagement metrics with the goal of enhancing the targeting and relevance of classified ads. By using the insights derived from segmentation, the Analyst will help improve ad performance and user experience on SayPro Classifieds, contributing directly to the success of SayPro’s marketing strategy and user engagement efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Audience Segmentation:
    • Utilize user behavior data from SayPro Classifieds to create distinct audience segments based on demographics, preferences, and activity patterns.
    • Leverage tools and data sources like CRM, website analytics, and third-party analytics platforms to identify key segments (e.g., by age, gender, location, purchase history, frequency of interaction, etc.).
    • Develop segmentation strategies that optimize ad targeting, improving user engagement and increasing conversions for both buyers and sellers.
  2. User Behavioral Analysis:
    • Analyze user engagement metrics, including click-through rates, session duration, bounce rates, and conversion rates, to gain insights into user preferences and interactions with classified ads.
    • Identify trends in user activity, such as peak browsing times, categories of interest, and frequently searched items, to help tailor marketing and ad strategies accordingly.
    • Monitor and track the effectiveness of classified ads in different segments, adjusting targeting strategies based on performance data.
  3. Demographic Profiling:
    • Build detailed demographic profiles for key user segments based on collected data, including location, age group, income level, and interests.
    • Analyze how demographic factors influence user engagement with specific categories of ads (e.g., Apparel & Jewelry, Announcements, Births, etc.), helping to refine ad targeting.
    • Regularly update demographic profiles to reflect changes in user behavior and external market trends, ensuring SayPro’s marketing strategies remain relevant.
  4. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with the SayPro Marketing Royalty SCMR team to align user segmentation insights with broader marketing strategies and campaigns.
    • Collaborate with content creators and ad designers to develop customized ads tailored to each segmented audience.
    • Partner with product and sales teams to understand the specific needs and preferences of different audience segments, ensuring the ads meet user expectations and drive sales.
  5. Insights Reporting & Actionable Recommendations:
    • Prepare monthly reports for the Senior Marketing Analyst, summarizing key findings from user behavior and demographic data analysis.
    • Provide actionable recommendations to the SayPro Marketing team on how to improve user engagement and ad targeting strategies based on segmentation insights.
    • Participate in strategy meetings to present insights and suggest new segmentation ideas based on current market trends and user feedback.
  6. Continuous Improvement:
    • Continuously refine segmentation models by integrating new data sources and adopting the latest analytical tools and techniques.
    • Test and evaluate different segmentation approaches to identify the most effective strategies for improving user targeting and ad engagement.
    • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in audience segmentation, using new methodologies to keep SayPro’s marketing strategies competitive.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Ad Targeting Effectiveness: Improved engagement and conversion rates as a result of more precise audience segmentation.
  • User Segmentation Accuracy: Increased accuracy in segmenting user behavior, leading to better-targeted ad campaigns.
  • Reporting Timeliness & Quality: On-time submission of monthly segmentation and behavioral analysis reports with clear, actionable insights.
  • Collaboration Efficiency: Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, ensuring that segmentation data is used to its full potential.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Analytics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2-3 years of experience in data analysis, audience segmentation, or marketing analytics, ideally within the classified ads or e-commerce industry.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in analytics tools such as Google Analytics, CRM systems, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). Familiarity with SQL or other data querying languages is a plus.
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to transform data into meaningful insights and actionable strategies.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with advanced segmentation techniques, including predictive modeling or machine learning.
  • Familiarity with marketing automation tools (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo) and experience in creating automated campaigns based on segmentation insights.
  • Knowledge of the classified ads industry, online marketplaces, and user engagement best practices.
