Position Title: Mobile Usability Specialist

Department: SayPro Marketing (Royalty SCMR)

Reports To: SayPro Classified Office Manager

Job Summary: As a Mobile Usability Specialist at SayPro, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our classified ads platform is optimized for mobile users. You will collaborate closely with SayPro’s Design and Development Teams to implement necessary changes and improvements for mobile usability. Your primary responsibility will be ensuring that the SayPro Classified platform has a touch-friendly, intuitive interface on mobile devices, thereby enhancing user experience across multiple mobile platforms. You will conduct rigorous testing on different mobile devices and provide feedback for improvements that will directly contribute to the success of SayPro’s mobile initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaboration with Design and Development Teams:
    • Work closely with the design and development teams to implement changes that align with SayPro’s mobile usability goals.
    • Act as a bridge between the design and development teams, ensuring that mobile-friendly features are well-integrated into the product development cycle.
    • Participate in meetings and brainstorming sessions to discuss new features, mobile optimization strategies, and improvements for mobile interfaces.
  2. Mobile Usability Testing:
    • Conduct extensive usability testing of the SayPro Classified platform on a wide range of mobile devices, including smartphones and tablets.
    • Ensure that all aspects of the mobile interface are user-friendly and meet the required standards for mobile devices.
    • Document any issues or barriers encountered during testing, providing detailed feedback to design and development teams for improvements.
    • Perform regression testing to verify that new changes or features do not affect the existing usability of the platform.
  3. User Interface Optimization:
    • Ensure that the mobile user interface is intuitive, with special emphasis on touch-friendly interactions (e.g., buttons, navigation, and input fields).
    • Monitor the responsiveness and load time of the mobile platform to ensure that it performs optimally on various mobile networks.
    • Work to optimize the overall mobile experience by eliminating design flaws or inconsistencies that may hinder user interactions.
  4. Touchscreen Usability:
    • Focus on ensuring that the classified platform’s touchscreen interface is user-friendly for mobile users, paying attention to touch targets, swipe gestures, and other mobile-specific features.
    • Review and test the accessibility of the platform for users with disabilities, ensuring that touch interactions are inclusive and easy for everyone to use.
  5. Cross-Platform Testing:
    • Test SayPro’s classified platform across various mobile operating systems (iOS, Android) and screen sizes to ensure consistent functionality and design.
    • Identify platform-specific issues and collaborate with the development team to resolve them in a timely manner.
  6. Documentation and Reporting:
    • Create detailed reports outlining mobile usability issues, suggestions for improvements, and the status of testing efforts.
    • Provide recommendations on mobile-specific best practices for user experience based on usability findings.
    • Maintain a backlog of mobile usability enhancements for ongoing improvement.
  7. Feedback Loop:
    • Continuously monitor mobile user feedback and usage patterns, and share insights with the design and development teams to inform future iterations.
    • Actively track performance metrics related to mobile usability and make suggestions for optimization based on analytics.
  8. Collaboration with SayPro Marketing and SCMR:
    • Ensure that mobile usability features align with the overall branding and marketing strategy for SayPro, particularly under SayPro Marketing Royalty SCMR initiatives.
    • Work closely with SayPro’s Marketing Department to understand how mobile usability impacts user engagement and marketing strategies.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in User Experience (UX) Design, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Proven experience in mobile usability testing and mobile interface design.
  • Strong understanding of mobile design principles, particularly touch interactions and mobile-first approaches.
  • Hands-on experience with mobile usability testing tools and platforms.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams (Design, Development, Marketing).
  • Familiarity with various mobile devices (iOS and Android) and mobile operating systems.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, especially in mobile UI/UX design.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a marketing-focused tech environment, particularly in a classified or advertising platform.
  • Knowledge of accessibility best practices for mobile devices.
  • Familiarity with A/B testing and performance optimization for mobile interfaces.

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position based in SayPro’s headquarters or remote.
  • Occasional travel may be required for user research and usability testing.
  • Flexible working hours and collaborative online tools will be utilized for team communications.
