Week 1 (01-01-2025 to 01-07-2025) – Initial Audit and Mobile Testing

Objective: Perform an initial audit of the classified section to identify mobile usability issues as part of the SayPro Monthly January SCMR-5 initiative under SayPro Marketing Royalty SCMR. The goal is to ensure that the classified section offers a touch-friendly interface for mobile users.

Tasks Breakdown:

1. Prepare for the Audit

  • Review Current Mobile Usability Issues:
    • Analyze previous reports or feedback on mobile usability for the classified section.
    • Assess any existing issues reported by users or developers related to mobile functionality.
  • Define Audit Criteria:
    • Set clear criteria for usability, such as load times, navigation ease, form functionality, button sizes, readability, and touch interaction issues.
  • Gather Tools and Resources:
    • Ensure access to mobile testing tools (e.g., BrowserStack, Google Mobile-Friendly Test).
    • Gather necessary documentation on the classified section and marketing guidelines for reference during the audit.

2. Conduct the Mobile Usability Audit

  • Evaluate Responsiveness:
    • Test the classified section’s responsiveness across various devices (smartphones, tablets) with different screen sizes and resolutions.
    • Verify that the layout adapts fluidly across devices without issues (e.g., no horizontal scrolling).
  • Assess Touchscreen Interaction:
    • Review touch targets (buttons, links) for their size and spacing to ensure they are appropriately sized for mobile users.
    • Test for any areas where touch gestures (e.g., swipe, pinch, zoom) are unresponsive or difficult to execute.
    • Ensure that dropdown menus, pop-ups, and forms are touch-friendly, allowing users to easily select and input data.
  • Check Text and Visual Clarity:
    • Review font sizes and contrast to ensure readability without zooming.
    • Ensure that text elements (headings, descriptions, buttons) are not truncated and align properly within mobile screens.
  • Evaluate Mobile-Specific Features:
    • Test features such as mobile-friendly search, category filters, and ad submission forms to ensure they are intuitive and easy to navigate on mobile.
    • Verify that mobile users can easily submit, edit, and delete classified ads without encountering usability problems.
  • Verify Performance:
    • Test load times on mobile devices, ensuring the classified section loads quickly without delays or broken elements.
    • Ensure no performance issues or crashes on mobile devices due to heavy images, scripts, or other assets.

3. Identify Issues and Document Findings

  • List Mobile Usability Problems:
    • Record specific issues encountered during the audit, categorizing them by severity (critical, high, medium, low).
    • Document technical issues related to mobile responsiveness, touch functionality, form usability, and visual clarity.
  • Take Screenshots/Record Videos:
    • Capture screenshots or videos of problematic areas to provide visual evidence of the issues.

4. Report Findings and Suggest Improvements

  • Prepare Detailed Audit Report:
    • Summarize the audit process, criteria used, and identified issues in a formal report.
    • Include screenshots/videos of identified issues and suggestions for improvements.
  • Provide Recommendations for Improvement:
    • Suggest specific fixes for issues such as resizing buttons, improving form accessibility, optimizing images, and improving load times.

    • Collaborate with the teams to prioritize and address the identified issues.
  • Discuss Action Plan:
    • Work with the design and development teams to create an action plan for resolving the issues.
    • Define timelines for implementing fixes and follow-up testing.

6. Testing and Feedback Loop

  • Conduct Internal Testing:
    • After implementing improvements, conduct further testing to ensure all issues are resolved and mobile usability is enhanced.
  • Gather User Feedback:
    • Conduct user testing on mobile devices to confirm that the changes have successfully improved usability.
    • Collect feedback from users regarding any remaining usability challenges on mobile.
