Responsibilities:

As a SayPro Classified Tagging Specialist, your primary role will be to ensure that the tagging system for the SayPro Classifieds platform is both effective and optimized. You will work closely with the SEO team and other departments to guarantee that the classification of ads through tags is strategically managed for both user experience and search engine optimization (SEO). The main goal is to enhance the visibility and discoverability of ads, contributing to the platform’s overall performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with SEO Team:
    • Work alongside the SEO team to align classified ad tags with best SEO practices, ensuring each tag is optimized for search engines.
    • Conduct regular meetings with the SEO team to review performance metrics related to tag effectiveness, identifying opportunities for improvement in search rankings.
  2. Create and Manage Tags for Ads:
    • Develop a consistent, comprehensive tagging system for classifying ads, ensuring that all ads are appropriately categorized using relevant keywords.
    • Create new tags based on market trends, seasonal changes, and keywords that reflect user searches and engagement patterns.
    • Ensure that the tagging system remains current and organized, regularly updating tags to meet new user needs or content trends.
  3. Tagging Consistency Across Ads:
    • Maintain consistency in tagging across various categories of ads to ensure uniformity, making it easier for users to navigate the site and for search engines to index the ads.
    • Verify that each classified ad is tagged correctly according to its category and relevant keywords.
  4. Data Analysis and Reporting:
    • Use analytics tools to track the performance of tagged ads, evaluating how well the tags perform in terms of user engagement and search engine ranking.
    • Prepare monthly reports for the SayPro Classified Office, highlighting key insights and tag performance based on metrics such as search engine traffic, click-through rates, and conversion rates.
    • Identify trends in user search behavior to fine-tune tagging practices and ensure better alignment with audience interests.
  5. Integrate Tags with Other SayPro Marketing Initiatives:
    • Work with the SayPro Marketing Royalty SCMR team to incorporate tagging strategies into broader marketing campaigns, ensuring that all ads are aligned with the brand’s messaging and SEO strategy.
    • Ensure that tagged content supports the overall marketing and sales objectives, making it easy for users to discover relevant ads that align with their search intent.
  6. Monthly Tagging Management (SayPro Monthly January SCMR-5):
    • Take ownership of SayPro Monthly January SCMR-5, focusing on the review, creation, and optimization of ad tags within the classified platform.
    • Coordinate with the SayPro Classified team to ensure that all new and existing ads are appropriately tagged during the January SCMR-5 cycle, which may involve seasonal or thematic updates.
  7. Ad Tag Evaluation and Refinement:
    • Regularly review the effectiveness of tags by examining metrics such as search engine results pages (SERP) rankings, organic traffic, and user engagement.
    • Adjust and refine tags based on the evolving SEO landscape and keyword trends to maintain optimal search engine visibility.
    • Experiment with A/B testing for different tags to determine which variations produce the best results for user engagement and SEO performance.
  8. User Experience Enhancement:
    • Ensure that the tags improve the overall user experience by making it easy for users to find relevant classified ads.
    • Collaborate with the User Experience (UX) team to design tag filters and categorize ads in a way that enhances site navigation.
  9. Collaboration with IT & Development Teams:
    • Work closely with the IT and development teams to implement new tagging features or upgrades on the site, ensuring that the tag management system functions smoothly and integrates seamlessly with other classified platforms.
    • Assist in troubleshooting any technical issues related to tagging, such as broken links, inaccurate tag associations, or system errors.
  10. Training & Support:
    • Provide support and training to internal teams, such as customer service or marketing, on how to use the tag management system effectively.
    • Conduct workshops or sessions to explain tagging best practices and demonstrate how tagging can be used to enhance ad discoverability and engagement.

Qualifications:

  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, IT, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience:
    • 2+ years of experience in SEO, content management, or digital marketing, with a focus on tagging and ad categorization.
    • Previous experience working with classified ad platforms or content management systems (CMS) is highly advantageous.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in SEO tools like Google Analytics, SEMrush, Moz, or similar.
    • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and web analytics tools.
    • Experience with tag management systems and ad classification systems.
