Job Summary:

The SayPro Classified Tagging Specialist is responsible for creating, managing, and optimizing tags to categorize classified ads efficiently in the SayPro system. This role is pivotal in maintaining a well-organized classified platform, ensuring that all ads are tagged appropriately to enhance discoverability, searchability, and overall user experience. The specialist will also track and report the performance of these tags, offering insights for improvements and adjustments.

The position directly contributes to the efficiency of SayPro’s classified ad platform by ensuring that each ad is easily searchable and properly categorized, in line with the SayPro Marketing Royalty SCMR strategy. A key focus is regular performance analysis of tags and providing actionable recommendations for improved categorization and performance.


Responsibilities:

  1. Tag Creation and Management:
    • Develop and maintain a comprehensive system of tags for all classified ads posted within the SayPro platform.
    • Regularly create new tags to reflect emerging trends, categories, and user interests.
    • Ensure that all ads are tagged according to category, product/service, location, and other relevant attributes, based on SayPro’s tagging guidelines.
    • Coordinate with content creators, category managers, and other departments to ensure the relevance and accuracy of the tags.
  2. Performance Tracking and Reporting:
    • Regularly track the performance of tags (e.g., click-through rates, user engagement) as part of SayPro Monthly January SCMR-5 reports.
    • Analyze the effectiveness of current tagging strategies and identify underperforming tags or categories.
    • Generate reports on tag performance and make recommendations for adjustments or improvements based on data analysis.
    • Provide monthly performance reports to SayPro Marketing Royalty SCMR, highlighting key metrics and trends related to tag usage.
  3. Optimization and Refinement:
    • Continuously refine and optimize the tagging system by introducing best practices and responding to user feedback.
    • Use data analytics to identify opportunities for tag consolidation, removal of redundant tags, or the creation of more specific tags.
    • Conduct A/B testing on different tag strategies to determine the best approaches for improving user engagement and searchability.
  4. Collaboration and Cross-Functional Support:
    • Work closely with the SayPro Classified Office team to ensure that ads are categorized correctly at the time of posting.
    • Liaise with the SayPro Marketing Royalty SCMR team to ensure that tag strategies align with overall marketing objectives.
    • Collaborate with the SayPro Analytics team to derive insights into user behavior and tag performance.
  5. Data-Driven Decision Making:
    • Utilize insights from analytics tools and platforms to make informed decisions about tag creation and management.
    • Stay up to date with industry best practices in tagging and ad categorization to keep SayPro at the forefront of classified ad management.
  6. Compliance and Quality Control:
    • Ensure that all tags comply with the SayPro brand guidelines, SEO best practices, and legal requirements related to digital advertising.
    • Perform regular audits of existing tags to ensure they are consistent with the platform’s evolving needs and ad content.
  7. Monthly SCMR Reports:
    • Contribute to the SayPro Monthly Classified Tag Management (January SCMR-5) by providing data on how effectively the tagging system categorizes and drives user engagement.
    • Ensure that performance data on tags is correctly integrated into monthly reports.
  8. User Experience Enhancement:
    • Focus on improving the user experience on the classified platform by ensuring that ads are easy to find and categorize using the tagging system.
    • Provide feedback to the development team on ways to enhance the tagging system based on user feedback and trends.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Tag Engagement: Measure the effectiveness of tags in driving ad visibility and engagement (clicks, views).
  • Tag Usage: Ensure that each ad is tagged according to the relevant categories and attributes.
  • Performance Metrics: Analyze tag performance, including the rate of new tag adoption, removal of outdated tags, and optimization.
  • Tag Quality: Regular audits of tags for consistency, relevance, and accuracy.
  • Monthly Reporting: Consistency and accuracy in delivering SayPro Monthly SCMR-5 reports regarding tag performance.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • At least 2 years of experience in content management, digital marketing, or a similar field related to tagging and categorization.
    • Experience with classified ad platforms, SEO strategies, and content management systems is a plus.
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Excel, etc.).
    • Proficiency in using content management systems (CMS) and ad management platforms.
    • Familiarity with SEO practices and keyword tagging strategies.
    • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with different departments and stakeholders.
  • Personal Attributes:
    • Detail-oriented and organized with a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and quality.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically about tag performance and optimization.
