Position Overview:
The Website Security Manager will be responsible for overseeing the implementation, monitoring, and management of SSL certificates to ensure secure data transmission for SayPro Classified Office. The role will focus on the SayPro Monthly SSL Encryption, particularly the successful implementation of SSL certificates as part of the SayPro Monthly Classified SSL Encryption project under the SayPro Marketing Royalty SCMR. The Website Security Manager will regularly monitor vulnerabilities and security breaches, ensuring that the SayPro Classified platform adheres to the highest security standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- SSL Certificate Implementation and Management:
- Implement and manage SSL certificates for the SayPro Classified Office website to ensure secure encryption of sensitive user data, including personal information and payment details.
- Collaborate with the IT team to integrate SSL certificates across all classified listings, user accounts, and transaction pathways.
- Ensure timely renewal of SSL certificates to avoid any interruptions in secure data transmission.
- Regular Security Monitoring:
- Continuously monitor for vulnerabilities and security breaches, ensuring that all classified platform activities are encrypted and protected by SSL technology.
- Analyze server logs and security events to identify potential security risks.
- Implement proactive measures to protect SayPro Classified Office from security threats.
- Security Updates and Patches:
- Work with the IT and development teams to apply necessary security patches to the classified website’s infrastructure to maintain the highest level of security.
- Ensure that the SSL certificates are compliant with the latest security protocols and updates (e.g., TLS 1.2 or 1.3).
- Collaboration with SayPro Marketing Royalty SCMR:
- Work closely with the SayPro Marketing Royalty SCMR team to align security practices with marketing strategies, ensuring that the classified platform’s integrity and encryption standards are well-integrated into the overall marketing and customer engagement framework.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards for data security and privacy under SayPro’s SCMR (Security Compliance and Marketing Royalty) regulations.
- Incident Response and Reporting:
- Respond promptly to any identified security incidents, breaches, or SSL certificate errors. Develop an action plan for mitigating and resolving issues quickly to prevent data leaks.
- Prepare monthly security reports highlighting the status of SSL encryption, any security breaches, vulnerabilities detected, and improvements implemented.
- User Training and Awareness:
- Educate internal teams, especially those involved in customer support and marketing, about SSL encryption, website security, and how it affects user experience and trust.
- Train employees on best practices for identifying potential security risks related to user data.
- Security Audits and Compliance:
- Perform regular security audits of the SayPro Classified platform to ensure compliance with industry best practices and the SayPro Marketing Royalty SCMR guidelines.
- Ensure that SSL certificates meet all necessary compliance requirements for handling sensitive data and transactions, particularly in areas like GDPR, PCI-DSS, etc.
- Risk Management:
- Identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks related to SSL encryption, ensuring that all security measures are aligned with the overall risk management framework of SayPro Classified.
- Report any significant risks to the upper management and suggest security improvements.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in website security management, SSL certificate implementation, or cybersecurity.
- Experience in SSL encryption, website security protocols, and data privacy regulations.
- Familiarity with compliance standards such as PCI-DSS, GDPR, or HIPAA is highly desirable.
- Skills:
- Proficient in managing SSL certificates and other website security technologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of security monitoring tools and platforms (e.g., Web Application Firewalls, Intrusion Detection Systems).
- Familiarity with web servers (Apache, NGINX) and common protocols like HTTPS, TLS/SSL.
- Excellent communication skills to explain technical security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Certifications (preferred but not required):
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
- Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).
- Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH).
- CompTIA Security+ or similar certifications.
