Job Summary

The SayPro Classified Spam and Malware Protection Specialist is responsible for safeguarding SayPro’s classified ad platform from spam, malware, and security threats. This role involves monitoring, identifying, and responding to malicious content, ensuring compliance with security best practices, and utilizing specialized security software to protect SayPro’s digital infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

1. Incident Response & Threat Mitigation

  • Rapidly respond to security incidents, including spam, malware, phishing attacks, and hacking attempts.
  • Investigate and isolate malicious content, ensuring the safety of users and the classified platform.
  • Identify and remove spam posts that violate SayPro’s guidelines.
  • Coordinate with IT teams to mitigate cybersecurity threats and strengthen system defenses.
  • Document and report security breaches and incidents to the SayPro Classified Office.

2. Spam and Malware Protection

  • Deploy, configure, and maintain security software to prevent spam and malware attacks.
  • Regularly scan and analyze classified ad submissions to detect fraudulent or harmful content.
  • Monitor real-time security alerts and take immediate action to neutralize threats.
  • Implement firewalls, anti-virus, and anti-malware solutions to enhance system security.
  • Ensure compliance with SayPro’s cybersecurity policies and regulatory standards.

3. Monitoring & Platform Security Maintenance

  • Conduct daily security audits to identify vulnerabilities and unusual activities.
  • Monitor IP addresses and user activity to detect suspicious behavior.
  • Update and apply security patches to keep SayPro’s classified platform protected.
  • Optimize spam filters and automated moderation tools to improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate with developers to enhance security features and prevent loopholes.

4. Reporting & Compliance

  • Generate detailed monthly reports on spam incidents, malware threats, and security performance.
  • Provide recommendations for security enhancements and risk reduction strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with SayPro’s IT security policies, data protection laws, and industry standards.
  • Educate employees on cybersecurity best practices, phishing awareness, and spam prevention.

5. Technical Support & User Assistance

  • Assist users in resolving spam-related issues and restoring legitimate posts.
  • Provide guidance to users on safe ad posting practices.
  • Communicate security updates and best practices to SayPro Classified Office staff.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity, IT security, or online platform moderation.
  • Experience working with classified ad platforms or similar online marketplaces is a plus.

Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of spam filtering tools, firewalls, and malware detection software.
  • Experience with security software solutions (e.g., Norton, McAfee, Kaspersky, Cloudflare, Akismet).
  • Understanding of cybersecurity best practices, penetration testing, and threat analysis.
  • Familiarity with web technologies, databases, and content management systems (CMS).
  • Ability to analyze logs, IP addresses, and network activity for suspicious behavior.

Soft Skills

  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple security threats simultaneously.
