Key Responsibilities:
1. Software Research
- Research Available Solutions:
Conduct thorough research to identify and evaluate available classified ads software solutions, focusing on popular platforms like WP Classifieds, Classifieds WP, and other alternatives in the market. - Evaluate Based on Key Criteria:
- Features: Review the functionalities provided by each software, ensuring they meet the requirements for SayPro’s classifieds platform, such as ad submission, categorization, search functionality, and payment integration.
- User Experience: Assess the user interface and user experience of the software, ensuring it is intuitive, user-friendly, and provides an optimal experience for both administrators and end-users.
- Security: Analyze the security protocols of the software, including data encryption, user privacy protections, and measures against fraud or cyber threats. Ensure the platform adheres to best security practices and compliance regulations (e.g., GDPR).
- Scalability: Evaluate the ability of the software to scale with SayPro’s growing needs, ensuring that it can accommodate increased traffic, user-generated content, and additional features in the future.
- Compatibility with SayPro’s Website: Investigate how well the software integrates with SayPro’s existing website architecture, ensuring smooth interaction and minimal technical friction between the classified software and other components of the SayPro ecosystem.
- Document and Present Findings:
Create comprehensive documentation of findings, outlining the pros and cons of each software solution. Present research findings to key stakeholders, highlighting the software that best aligns with SayPro’s strategic objectives and technical requirements.
2. Collaboration with Stakeholders
- Engage with SayPro Marketing and IT Teams:
Collaborate closely with the SayPro Marketing Royalty SCMR team and the IT department to ensure that the selected classified ads software meets both marketing goals and technical specifications. - Gather Feedback:
Actively engage with end-users, business leaders, and other departments to gather feedback on current pain points with classified ads solutions, integrating this information into the research process.
3. Installation and Implementation Support
- Assist with Software Installation:
Once a software solution is selected, assist with the initial installation and configuration process, ensuring smooth setup on SayPro’s website and ensuring that all required features are properly activated. - Testing and Optimization:
Participate in the testing phase to ensure the software functions as expected, troubleshoot issues, and work with the development team to optimize the solution.
4. Continuous Improvement and Monitoring
- Track Software Performance:
Regularly monitor the performance of the classified ads software, assessing its uptime, loading speeds, and overall functionality. Identify any areas for improvement and propose enhancements to increase performance and efficiency. - Stay Updated on Market Trends:
Continuously stay updated on new developments in the classified ads software industry, including emerging technologies, new features, and security enhancements, ensuring SayPro stays ahead of the competition.
5. Report to Senior Management
- Monthly Reports:
Provide monthly updates and reports on the progress of the software research, selection, installation, and optimization process. Highlight any issues or risks, and propose solutions. - Performance Metrics:
Measure and report on the impact of the new classified ads software on user engagement, ad submission success rates, and overall business performance, ensuring alignment with SayPro’s strategic goals.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience in software research, selection, or implementation, preferably in the classified ads or web development industry.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of web development practices, classified ads software solutions, and integration methods.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to assess software based on technical criteria (e.g., scalability, security, and performance) and non-technical criteria (e.g., user experience and feature set).
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively present research findings and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify challenges in software solutions and provide innovative solutions to optimize performance and user experience.
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks, coordinate efforts across teams, and ensure timely delivery of software selection and installation processes.
