Position Overview: The Classified Software Evaluation Specialist is responsible for evaluating shortlisted classified ads software to determine its suitability for deployment within SayPro’s classified ads platforms. This includes conducting usability tests, assessing performance metrics, ensuring security protocols are met, and gathering detailed feedback from internal teams to ensure the software aligns with operational goals. The position plays a critical role in ensuring the software chosen can scale with business needs, is user-friendly, and performs at high standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Software Evaluation and Testing:

  • Conduct detailed evaluations of shortlisted software options, including WP Classifieds, Classifieds WP, and other classified software candidates.
  • Test the usability of each platform, ensuring it meets the ease-of-use criteria for both administrators and end-users.
  • Evaluate the software’s performance, including speed, scalability, and resource consumption under different loads.
  • Perform security assessments to ensure the software adheres to industry best practices for data protection, including vulnerability scanning and encryption measures.
  • Run compatibility tests to confirm that the software functions seamlessly with existing systems, plugins, and integrations.

2. Feedback Collection:

  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., developers, marketing teams, customer service) to gather their input on software functionality.
  • Facilitate user testing with cross-functional teams to capture insights into user-friendliness, features, and potential usability issues.
  • Coordinate with developers to identify technical bottlenecks or concerns that could impact integration or system performance.
  • Organize feedback sessions to ensure every department’s needs are considered in the final selection.

3. Reporting and Documentation:

  • Maintain detailed records of all evaluations and test results, including performance benchmarks, security findings, and user feedback.
  • Generate comprehensive reports for SayPro Marketing Royalty SCMR and other stakeholders, providing an objective analysis of each software’s strengths, weaknesses, and overall suitability.
  • Provide written recommendations based on findings to guide decision-making on the software selection process.

4. Continuous Improvement:

  • Keep abreast of emerging trends and advancements in classified ads software to ensure SayPro remains competitive with innovative tools.
  • Monitor updates and patches for shortlisted software to ensure ongoing compatibility, security, and performance.
  • Suggest areas for improvement in the software evaluation process, refining methodologies to enhance the decision-making process for future software selections.

5. Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Work closely with SayPro Marketing Royalty SCMR to align software evaluations with business objectives and marketing strategies.
  • Participate in regular meetings with internal teams to present findings, discuss issues, and suggest solutions based on evaluation results.
  • Engage with external software vendors or developers for clarifications, troubleshooting, and enhancement requests as necessary.

6. Support in Software Deployment:

  • After the software is selected, assist the implementation team with deployment considerations based on evaluation findings.
  • Ensure that post-deployment testing is done to confirm that the selected software performs as expected in a live environment.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Marketing, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in software evaluation or testing, preferably in classified ads platforms or similar industries.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of WordPress environments, familiarity with classified ad software (WP Classifieds, Classifieds WP), and experience with usability testing tools.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical abilities to identify issues during testing and offer actionable recommendations.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team, engaging with developers, marketers, and customer service representatives.
