Position Overview:
The Email and SMS Campaign Specialist is responsible for executing the SayPro Monthly January SCMR-5 Classified Renewal Reminders campaign. This will involve sending timely renewal reminders for classified ads to users through email and SMS channels. The campaign’s goal is to increase the renewal rate by providing clear, easy-to-follow instructions and a seamless renewal process. The specialist will collaborate closely with the SayPro Marketing and Customer Service teams to ensure that the reminders are targeted, effective, and aligned with SayPro’s branding and customer engagement strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Campaign Execution:
- Email Campaigns: Design and execute email campaigns to send reminders to users whose classified ads are nearing expiration.
- Ensure each email includes a clear call-to-action (CTA), such as a link to the renewal page with straightforward instructions.
- Create subject lines, email copy, and visuals that resonate with the audience, encourage engagement, and align with SayPro’s tone.
- Test subject lines, email content, and CTA buttons for maximum engagement.
- SMS Campaigns: Develop and send SMS reminders to users, ensuring compliance with SMS marketing regulations (e.g., opt-in/opt-out processes).
- Keep SMS messages concise, including a link to the renewal page and a brief CTA to encourage immediate action.
- Email Campaigns: Design and execute email campaigns to send reminders to users whose classified ads are nearing expiration.
- Audience Segmentation:
- Work with the Customer Service and Data teams to ensure the correct audience (users with ads about to expire) is targeted.
- Segment users based on ad categories, renewal history, and activity to personalize the renewal reminders and improve the chances of successful renewals.
- Renewal Process Optimization:
- Ensure that the renewal process is simple and intuitive for users. Collaborate with the IT team to ensure the renewal page is functional, mobile-friendly, and easy to navigate.

- Performance Monitoring:
- Monitor the performance of the email and SMS campaigns, including open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, and customer feedback.

- Reporting & Analytics:
- Generate reports on campaign performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Track metrics such as renewal rates, engagement levels, and bounce rates for emails and SMS.
- Provide regular updates to the SayPro Marketing Royalty SCMR Manager on campaign results.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with other marketing team members to ensure consistency in messaging and branding across channels.
- Maintain open lines of communication with the Customer Service team to handle any customer inquiries related to the renewal process.
- Compliance & Best Practices:
- Ensure all email and SMS campaigns comply with privacy laws, including GDPR and CAN-SPAM Act.
- Follow best practices for email deliverability, content personalization, and SMS compliance.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in email marketing, SMS marketing, or digital marketing campaigns.
- Familiarity with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact) and SMS marketing tools (e.g., Twilio, SimpleTexting).
- Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) tools and data segmentation.
- Skills:
- Strong copywriting and content creation skills for both email and SMS formats.
- Ability to design and develop email templates that are both visually appealing and optimized for conversions.
- Knowledge of performance tracking tools (e.g., Google Analytics, email marketing analytics) to measure campaign success.
