Position Overview:

The SayPro Classified Rating and Reviews Manager will oversee the management, moderation, and implementation of a comprehensive rating and review system for ads and sellers within the SayPro Classified platform. This role is essential in maintaining the integrity and quality of user feedback, ensuring a positive experience for all users, and supporting the broader goals of SayPro’s marketing and sales initiatives. The manager will develop strategies for moderating user reviews, enhancing trust among buyers and sellers, and aligning the review system with the brand’s values.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Moderation and Quality Control:

  • Develop Review Guidelines: Design clear and concise guidelines for acceptable reviews and ratings, ensuring consistency and fairness across all user feedback.
  • Moderate Reviews: Actively monitor and moderate incoming reviews and ratings, ensuring they align with the established guidelines. This includes removing fraudulent, offensive, or irrelevant content and addressing inappropriate behavior within the platform.
  • Ensure User Trust: Ensure that the ratings and review system remains transparent, fair, and credible to users, preventing abuse or manipulation of reviews.
  • Handle Escalations: Manage and resolve disputes between users regarding reviews, handling complex cases and ensuring resolutions align with company policies.

2. System Implementation and Optimization:

  • Implement Review Systems: Oversee the deployment of rating and review features on the SayPro Classified platform. Work closely with the technical team to ensure seamless integration of these systems.
  • Optimize Functionality: Continuously assess the functionality of the review system, identifying areas for improvement and working with developers to implement upgrades or new features.
  • Collect Feedback: Gather feedback from users about the review system, understanding pain points, and proposing actionable improvements.
  • Integration with Seller/Seller Feedback: Ensure the review system integrates effectively with seller profiles, allowing for meaningful feedback on sellers and products/services offered.

3. Data Management and Reporting:

  • Generate Reports: Regularly produce reports on the state of ratings and reviews, analyzing trends, user behavior, and the impact on overall platform performance. Share insights with the marketing and product teams.
  • Monitor Review Volume: Track the volume of reviews and ratings, ensuring a balanced representation of feedback across various categories and segments.
  • Review Quality Audits: Conduct periodic audits on review quality, ensuring that reviews remain helpful, accurate, and valuable to other users.

4. Collaboration with Other Teams:

  • Marketing Support: Work closely with the SayPro Marketing Royalty SCMR team to understand strategic goals and ensure the review system aligns with broader marketing campaigns and brand messaging.
  • Cross-Department Communication: Collaborate with customer support, technical, and product teams to address any technical issues related to the review system and ensure alignment on platform updates and user feedback handling.
  • Seller Relations: Support the Seller Relations team by offering insights on how sellers can improve their profiles and ratings, as well as sharing best practices for managing customer feedback.

5. Customer Experience:

  • User Education: Develop materials to educate users on how to write effective reviews and how the rating system works. This includes creating FAQs, blog posts, and tutorials.
  • Improve User Engagement: Create initiatives to encourage users to leave reviews, such as incentivizing feedback or spotlighting high-quality reviewers.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Actively engage with users who leave negative reviews, offering solutions and fostering positive interactions to enhance customer satisfaction.

6. Compliance and Legal Oversight:

  • Adhere to Legal Standards: Ensure that all reviews and ratings comply with applicable legal standards, including data privacy regulations and intellectual property laws.
  • Report Inappropriate Content: Work with the legal team to handle any reports of defamation, libel, or other legal concerns raised by reviews.
  • Continuous Monitoring of Industry Trends: Stay updated on industry trends related to ratings and reviews, ensuring SayPro’s review system remains competitive and compliant with emerging best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in managing user-generated content, customer feedback systems, or online reviews.
  • Strong understanding of moderation, content management systems, and quality control processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to handle user disputes and collaborate across departments.
  • Proficiency with data analysis tools, CRM systems, and review management software.
  • Ability to think strategically and implement improvements based on user feedback and business needs.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to upholding high standards of quality in user feedback.
  • Knowledge of legal standards around user-generated content and online reviews.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in e-commerce, online marketplaces, or classified ad platforms.
  • Familiarity with automated moderation tools and AI-powered review systems.
  • Knowledge of SEO and its impact on user reviews and ratings.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Asana, Trello).

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Review Volume and Growth: Percentage increase in the number of reviews generated across categories.
  • Moderation Accuracy: Reduction in the number of inappropriate reviews flagged by users.
  • User Satisfaction: Improvement in user ratings of the review system.
  • System Downtime: Percentage of time the review system is fully operational without issues.
  • Collaboration Metrics: Engagement levels with marketing, product, and support teams to improve the user review experience.

Working Environment:

This position is based at SayPro Classified Office and may involve working in close collaboration with cross-functional teams. Some flexibility in work hours may be required to monitor review activities and ensure timely interventions.
