Role Overview:

The Mobile Usability Specialist at SayPro plays a critical role in ensuring that the SayPro Classified platform delivers an intuitive, accessible, and user-friendly experience across all mobile and touchscreen devices. This position focuses on usability evaluation, accessibility standards, and interactive design efficiency to support the goals of the SayPro Monthly March SCMR-5 Touchscreen Usability initiative.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct Mobile Usability Testing

  • Regularly perform comprehensive usability testing across multiple mobile devices (iOS, Android, tablets) and screen resolutions.
  • Use manual and automated testing tools to simulate real-user interactions.
  • Identify and document usability barriers related to touch responsiveness, layout scaling, font readability, and navigation on mobile platforms.
  • Monitor how classified ads are submitted, viewed, filtered, and interacted with using touchscreen gestures.

2. Analyze and Report Usability Issues

  • Generate monthly usability performance reports in alignment with SayPro Monthly SCMR-5 metrics.
  • Collaborate with the SayPro Marketing Royalty team to present key findings and recommendations.
  • Document and maintain a usability issue log with screenshots, severity levels, and suggested resolutions.

3. Enhance Touchscreen Accessibility

  • Ensure SayPro Classified interfaces follow best practices for mobile accessibility and touch ergonomics.
  • Recommend layout changes, button sizing, spacing, and gesture support (e.g., swiping, tap targets).
  • Coordinate with UX/UI designers to test A/B variations of interface designs on mobile screens.

4. Collaborate Across Departments

  • Work closely with developers, product managers, content creators, and marketing leads to ensure that mobile usability remains a top priority in platform updates and releases.
  • Attend SayPro Mobile Design Review Meetings and contribute actionable insights from field testing.

5. Continuous Improvement

  • Stay informed about emerging mobile usability trends, accessibility guidelines (WCAG), and device compatibility best practices.
  • Recommend mobile-first strategies to improve classified ad interaction and conversion on mobile devices.
  • Participate in internal training or development sessions to upskill in usability testing tools, heuristic evaluation, and mobile behavior analytics.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Human-Computer Interaction, UX Design, Mobile Development, Digital Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in mobile usability testing, UX research, or mobile QA.
  • Strong knowledge of mobile UI/UX standards and touchscreen design principles.
  • Familiarity with tools like Hotjar, Google Lighthouse, BrowserStack, or similar.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Experience working with classified ad platforms or marketplaces.
  • Passionate about user-centered design and improving mobile accessibility.
  • Detail-oriented and proactive in identifying subtle usability challenges.

  • Increased mobile engagement and ad submissions via mobile devices.
  • Positive feedback from users on interface improvements.

Remuneration:

Competitive and based on experience. Includes performance-based incentives under SayPro Royalty Structure.
