By the Deputy Secretary of the SayPro Royal Committee- Martha Keditlwaetse Moshoeshoe
Good day to our distinguished guests, respected teachers, SayPro leadership, fellow colleagues, and dear learners.
I stand before you today as the Deputy Secretary of the SayPro Royal Committee, filled with pride and gratitude, as we celebrate one of the most meaningful days on our calendar — Teacher Appreciation Day 2025.
Today is not just a formal celebration — it is a tribute to the daily dedication, quiet sacrifices, and remarkable impact of those who shape our society from the ground up: our teachers.
In my role, I often assist in coordinating records, policies, and planning — ensuring that SayPro’s actions remain aligned with our vision. And that vision always comes back to people development, community empowerment, and education. And at the very centre of all these efforts are you — the educators.
Teachers, you are more than instructors. You are mentors, role models, and guardians of possibility. You ignite curiosity, foster confidence, and help learners find their purpose.
Whether in rural classrooms or urban centres, whether in person or online, your role remains critical. You offer not just knowledge, but hope. You guide not just subjects, but lives. And while your efforts may not always make headlines, they most certainly make history.
On behalf of the SayPro Royal Committee, I thank you for your commitment, your energy, and your heart. We see your long hours, we hear the passion in your voice, and we feel the ripple of your influence across our communities.
Let today be a moment of recognition — not just from institutions, but from every learner whose life you have touched.
Happy Teacher Appreciation Day 2025. May your profession continue to be honoured, and may your work continue to uplift generations to come.
Thank you, and may you continue to shine.
