Delivered by the Chief Technology Officer- Moses Mnisi
Good morning, colleagues, partners, and friends.
Today, as we gather to commemorate Human Rights Day, I stand before you not only as the Chief Technology Officer of SayPro but as a firm believer in the power of technology to advance dignity, equality, and justice for all.
Human Rights Day is more than a date on the calendar. It is a reminder of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, adopted in 1948, which enshrines the fundamental rights and freedoms every human being is entitled toâregardless of race, gender, nationality, or belief. At SayPro, we embrace this vision and carry it forward in all we do, especially through innovation.
Technology has immense power. It can empower communities, connect the disconnected, and amplify the voices of those who have long been silenced. But with that power comes responsibility. We must ensure that the systems we build and the platforms we create are inclusive, secure, and equitable.
At SayPro, we use technology not as a tool of convenience but as a vehicle for impact. Whether we are providing educational resources, digital public services, or platforms for social change, we do so with a clear commitment: that every person matters, and that every line of code we write contributes to a more just and equal society.
Let us be honestâthere are still many challenges. Digital divides persist. Algorithms can reflect human biases. Access remains unequal. But today is a reminder that we are not helpless. We are not without purpose. We are builders, thinkers, dreamersâand we are accountable.
This Human Rights Day, I call on all of us in the tech world, and in SayPro, to reaffirm our dedication to ethical innovation. Letâs continue to question how our work affects human rights. Letâs put transparency, fairness, and accessibility at the core of every project. Letâs make technology a bridgeânot a barrierâto human dignity.
To our developers, engineers, data analysts, and project managers: your work has real consequences. Youâre not just creating software. Youâre shaping society. Letâs do it with care, with conscience, and with courage.
Thank you for your dedication. Letâs continue to build a world where human rights are not just protectedâbut promotedâthrough the power of technology.
Happy Human Rights Day.
