By SayPro Chief Learning and Monitoring Officer- Tsakani Rikhotso

Good morning, SayPro team, colleagues, partners, and distinguished guests,

Today, I have the honour and heartfelt privilege of standing before you to celebrate one of the most profound pillars of our society — our mothers.

Mother’s Day is more than a date on the calendar. It is a reminder of the selfless love, tireless sacrifice, and infinite patience that mothers around the world embody — from the cradle to the classroom, from the kitchen to the boardroom, and even across our digital platforms at SayPro.

In the heart of SayPro’s mission to educate, empower, and uplift individuals and communities, we find the very qualities that mothers instill in us: resilience, compassion, and unwavering commitment. Whether biological, adoptive, grandmothers, aunts, sisters, or community caregivers — the role of the mother transcends biology. It is rooted in service, strength, and guidance.

As the Chief Learning and Monitoring Officer, I am particularly moved by the lessons we continuously draw from the women who raise us — both at home and here in our organization. It is their ability to nurture, teach, and monitor growth that mirrors what we strive to do every day in our educational and development programs.

Today, we celebrate our SayPro mothers — those among us who balance deadlines and diapers, performance reviews and parent-teacher meetings. We salute your extraordinary ability to lead, to love, and to lift others — often all at once.

To our learners and beneficiaries, remember that the knowledge and skills you gain through SayPro are not only a tribute to your own potential, but also to the dreams of the mothers who have stood beside you, quietly cheering you on.

Let us honour our mothers not just with flowers and kind words, but with the daily actions that reflect the values they’ve taught us: respect, accountability, lifelong learning, and empathy.

In closing, I would like to say: to all mothers, thank you. Your legacy is evident in the impact we make, the lives we touch, and the communities we serve.

Happy Mother’s Day.

Thank you.
