Job Summary
The Ad Categorization and Organization Specialist is responsible for classifying advertisements into appropriate categories to enhance searchability and user experience on the SayPro Classifieds platform. The role ensures that all ads are correctly assigned based on product type, service, location, or industry while maintaining the integrity and security of classified data.
This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and familiarity with SayPro’s classification standards and security management policies.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks
1. Assign Appropriate Categories to Ads
🔹 Review Submitted Ads:
- Analyze the content, images, and descriptions of ads submitted by users.
- Determine the most suitable category based on predefined classification criteria.
🔹 Classify Ads by Various Parameters:
- Product Type: Electronics, vehicles, real estate, fashion, etc.
- Service Type: Freelancing, home services, business services, education, etc.
- Location: Categorize ads by city, region, or country to enhance location-based searches.
- Industry: Organize job postings, business listings, and B2B services into relevant industry sectors.
🔹 Ensure Consistency in Categorization:
- Follow SayPro’s established guidelines for ad categorization.
- Maintain uniformity in naming conventions and category structures.
2. Improve and Optimize Category Structure
🔹 Analyze User Behavior and Search Trends:
- Monitor user searches and ad engagement to identify popular categories.
- Suggest new subcategories or category adjustments to enhance user experience.
🔹 Refine Categorization Algorithms:
- Collaborate with the development team to improve automated categorization features.
- Test AI-based or rule-based classification systems for accuracy.
🔹 Update Category Taxonomies Regularly:
- Conduct periodic reviews of category structures to ensure they align with market trends.
- Remove outdated categories and introduce new ones as needed.
3. Maintain Data Integrity and Security Compliance
🔹 Ensure Compliance with SayPro Security Policies:
- Follow the SayPro Quarterly Classified Security and Data Protection Management guidelines.
- Handle classified data responsibly to prevent unauthorized access or data breaches.
🔹 Monitor for Misclassified or Inappropriate Ads:
- Identify ads placed in incorrect categories and reassign them appropriately.
- Flag or remove ads that violate SayPro’s terms of service, including spam, fraudulent listings, or prohibited content.
🔹 Ensure Secure Handling of User Data:
- Protect personally identifiable information (PII) and sensitive classified data.
- Report any suspicious activity related to security breaches or misclassified data.
4. Collaborate with Internal Teams
🔹 Work with the Moderation Team:
- Ensure ad reviews align with SayPro’s moderation policies.
- Provide insights on how to improve filtering systems for better categorization.
🔹 Coordinate with the IT & Development Teams:
- Assist in refining automated category assignment systems.
- Provide feedback on system limitations and suggest improvements.
🔹 Liaise with Marketing and User Support:
- Ensure category structures align with user needs and market trends.
- Address user queries regarding category placement and adjustments.
5. Reporting and Continuous Improvement
🔹 Generate Regular Reports:
- Provide insights on miscategorized ads, trending categories, and user behavior.
- Submit reports to the SayPro Classified Office under SayPro Marketing Royalty SCMR for strategy development.
🔹 Analyze and Improve Categorization Strategies:
- Track success metrics like category accuracy, user search efficiency, and engagement rates.
- Implement improvements based on analytics and feedback.
🔹 Contribute to Training Materials:
- Develop documentation on best practices for ad categorization.
- Assist in training new team members on category structures and policies.
Skills & Qualifications Required
✔ Experience in Data Categorization or Content Management (experience in classified ads management is a plus).
✔ Strong Analytical and Organizational Skills to ensure accurate and structured classification.
✔ Familiarity with SEO and Digital Marketing Trends for optimizing category placement.
✔ Understanding of Data Security and Compliance Policies, especially within classified ad platforms.
✔ Technical Proficiency in working with CMS, ad management tools, and AI-powered classification systems.
