Position Overview: The Social Media Integration and Security Software Specialist is responsible for selecting and implementing social media integration tools and security software solutions that enhance SayPro’s classified ads platform. This role involves ensuring seamless sharing of classified ads across various social media platforms while maintaining high standards of security to prevent spam and malware attacks on the platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Select Social Media Integration Tools:
- Identify and evaluate suitable tools/plugins: Research and select the most effective social media integration tools or plugins that allow classified ads posted on SayPro’s platform to be shared seamlessly across popular social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn).
- Ensure cross-platform compatibility: The selected tools should work across various social media networks and be compatible with SayPro’s platform architecture.
- Test integration for functionality and usability: Ensure that social media buttons or sharing widgets are fully functional and provide a user-friendly experience for both the users and administrators.
- Optimize for engagement: Focus on selecting tools that not only allow easy sharing but also increase user engagement with the posts (e.g., adding options for liking, commenting, and sharing).
- Monitor performance and troubleshoot: Regularly monitor the performance of social media integration tools, troubleshoot any issues, and implement updates or fixes as needed.
- Collaborate with marketing team: Work with the marketing department to ensure that the selected tools align with SayPro’s brand objectives and strategies.
- Ensure Social Media Sharing Enhances User Experience:
- Design and customize sharing options: Tailor social media integration options to meet the platform’s needs, ensuring that classified ads are displayed attractively when shared (e.g., correct images, descriptions, and links).
- Maximize user reach: Implement strategies to allow classified ads to reach the largest audience by ensuring social media sharing options are prominently featured.
- Implement Spam and Malware Protection Tools:
- Select and install security software: Choose and implement security software solutions that protect SayPro’s classified ads platform from spam, malware, and other malicious activities. Ensure that the tools are integrated seamlessly with the platform.
- Monitor classified ads for security threats: Regularly review classified ads for any signs of malicious content, spam, or fraudulent activity. Work with the IT team to update malware detection and spam protection systems.
- Ensure compliance with data protection regulations: Implement measures to protect users’ data while ensuring that the platform complies with data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
- Report security incidents: Document and report any security incidents or breaches, and work with the technical team to mitigate threats.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams:
- Work with SayPro Marketing Royalty SCMR Team: Coordinate with the marketing and royalty management teams to ensure that all social media integrations and security measures align with SayPro’s overall marketing and platform security goals.
- Engage with technical and product teams: Collaborate with developers and product managers to ensure that the integration tools and security measures are consistently updated and optimized for platform growth.
- Maintain and Update Software Solutions:
- Regular updates and patches: Stay up-to-date with the latest updates and patches for both social media integration tools and security software to ensure that they function optimally and offer the best protection.
- User training and documentation: Provide training for the internal team on how to use the tools effectively and create detailed documentation for future reference.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience with Social Media Integration: Proven experience in selecting and implementing social media integration tools on web platforms.
- Knowledge of Security Software: Strong understanding of security threats related to spam and malware, and experience implementing security solutions.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with web development, APIs, and plugins that facilitate social media sharing and security functions.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to ensure that integration tools are implemented flawlessly with minimal disruption to the platform.
- Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills to quickly identify and resolve issues related to social media integration and security concerns.
- Collaboration Skills: Ability to work well in a team environment, collaborating with marketing, IT, and development teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with platforms such as WordPress, WooCommerce, or similar CMS/CRM systems.
- Familiarity with tools such as Hootsuite, Buffer, or social media sharing plugins like AddThis or ShareThis.
- Certification in Cybersecurity or a related field.
