SayPro 2025 Speech on International Day of Sport for Development and Peace Day Event

By SayPro Chief Research Officer- Patricia Tsebe

    6 April 2025

Good morning, colleagues, partners, young leaders, and friends,

I am honoured to speak to you today on the occasion of the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace—a day that not only celebrates physical activity, but reminds us that sport can be a catalyst for data-driven development, peace, and measurable change.

As SayPro’s Chief Research Officer, my role is to ensure that behind every programme, every policy, and every community initiative, there is evidence—evidence that sport works, and evidence that peace is possible.

    Why Evidence Matters

At SayPro, we don’t just believe in the power of sport—we measure it. We study how sport impacts school retention, gender equality, mental health, social cohesion, and even economic mobility.

Our data shows us that a young girl in a sports mentorship programme is three times more likely to stay in school. That young boys who participate in team sports are significantly less likely to engage in violence or substance abuse. And that communities with inclusive sports initiatives report higher levels of trust and cooperation.

These are not just stories. These are statistics. These are indicators of real social transformation.

    Research for Peace and Inclusion

Sport helps us break silos—not just between people, but across sectors. It connects education to health, community development to safety, and recreation to economic empowerment.

Through SayPro’s Research & Learning Division, we’ve launched multiple studies across 10 regions, monitoring the effects of our Sport & Development Programme. With over 25,000 youth reached in 2025, we are proud to say that sport is proving to be one of the most cost-effective and scalable tools for positive change.

But our work is far from over. There is still much to learn—about access, sustainability, and inclusion, especially for girls, persons with disabilities, and rural youth. And it is only through honest evaluation and collaboration that we will continue to improve.

A Call to Action for Evidence-Based Investment

To our government partners, funders, and educators:
Let us build policies rooted in research, not rhetoric.
Let us fund initiatives that are proven to work, that deliver long-term benefits for peace and progress.

    And to our young people:
You are not just players—you are part of a movement. Every pass, every jump, every goal is data in motion—a powerful act that contributes to our understanding of what builds peace.

    In Closing

At SayPro, we say this with confidence:
Sport is not just a game. It is a development strategy. A peacebuilding mechanism. And a research opportunity that has the power to shape nations.

As Chief Research Officer, I pledge that SayPro will continue to build knowledge, generate impact data, and share insights to inform global best practices—because a peaceful future must be designed with intention and driven by evidence.

Thank you for being part of this day, this movement, and this mission.

Ke a leboha. Ngiyabonga. Dankie. Thank you once again.

SayPro 2025 Speech on International Day of Sport for Development and Peace Day Event

By Chief Finance Officer- Keamogetswe Toka

    6 April 2025

Good morning, distinguished guests, colleagues, partners, and future leaders,

It is an honour to address you on this special day—the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace. As the Finance Chief Officer of SayPro, I am proud to stand with each of you to recognise and reaffirm the incredible value of sport in shaping societies, building bridges, and creating a world where peace and opportunity go hand in hand.

At SayPro, our vision has always been bold but simple: to invest in people. And sport, I believe, is one of the smartest and most sustainable investments we can make in our youth, our communities, and our shared future.

    The Economics of Empowerment

Too often, when we think about sport, we think only about trophies, titles, and televised games. But behind every goal, every match, and every training session lies something far more powerful—economic inclusion, skills development, and hope.

Through SayPro’s programmes, sport becomes a tool not only for physical well-being and peacebuilding—but also for economic growth. We fund and support initiatives that turn vacant fields into safe spaces, that create jobs for coaches and community leaders, and that provide young people with skills that last far beyond the game.

Let us be clear: peace is not possible without opportunity, and opportunity is not sustainable without investment. That is why SayPro’s financial strategy continues to prioritise sport-based development initiatives across Africa and beyond.

    Return on Impact

When we invest in sport, we see results. Tangible, measurable, and meaningful results:

    • Improved school attendance in youth who participate in after-school leagues.
    • Reduced violence in communities where inclusive tournaments are held.
    • Increased leadership roles for girls through sport mentorship programs.

This year alone, SayPro allocated resources that helped expand our Sport & Development Programme to 10 regions, reaching more than 25,000 young people. These are not just numbers—they are lives changed.

And for every dollar, rand, or kwacha we spend, we’re not just spending—we are investing in peace.

Sustainable Partnerships for a Peaceful Future

As a finance leader, I want to call on corporate South Africa, donors, development agencies, and local governments:
    Support community-based sport programmes.
Invest in young people—not just as athletes, but as entrepreneurs, educators, and agents of change.

Together, we can build a financial ecosystem where sport is recognised not just as recreation—but as a foundation for peace, dignity, and economic upliftment.

    In Closing

Sport is more than movement—it’s momentum. It moves people. It moves communities. And today, it moves us all towards a more peaceful, more inclusive, and more prosperous future.

As SayPro’s Finance Chief, I give you our commitment: We will continue to fund the future, support the dreams, and invest in peace through sport.

Let us not wait for peace to happen. Let us finance it, build it, and live it—together.

    Thank you.
Ke a leboga. Ngiyabonga. Baie dankie. Thank you once again.

SayPro 2025 Speech on International Day of Sport for Development and Peace Day Event

By SayPro Chief Marketing Officer- Puluko Nkiwani

    6 April 2025

    Good morning, everyone,

It is a profound honour to stand before you on this globally significant day—the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace.

On behalf of SayPro—the SayPro Group of Companies—I extend our deepest gratitude to every partner, athlete, supporter, community leader, and young person joining us here today, and to the millions worldwide marking this occasion in the spirit of unity, inclusion, and empowerment.

At SayPro, our mission has always been clear: to unlock human potential and drive social transformation through practical, scalable solutions. And sport, dear friends, remains one of the most powerful tools we have to achieve this.

    Sport: More Than a Game

Sport transcends language, culture, and borders. It teaches us to collaborate. It instills discipline, builds resilience, and nurtures respect. It empowers the marginalised and gives hope to the voiceless.

Whether it’s a child kicking a ball in Soweto or a youth sprinting across fields in rural Namibia—sport levels the playing field and brings people together in ways few other forces can.

Across the communities we serve, we’ve witnessed how a simple tournament can unite rival groups. How a netball game can spark dialogue where politics fall silent. And how a local coach can inspire hope that ripples through entire generations.

    Peace Through Participation

Peace is not a passive state. Peace is something we build.

Through sport, we promote inclusion, nurture dialogue, and reduce violence. We equip our young people to compete with fairness, resolve conflict with dignity, and recognise that every person is worthy of respect.

This year alone, our SayPro Sport & Development Programme has engaged over 25,000 youth across 10 regions. Together with schools, NGOs, and community leaders, we are using sport not just for play, but as a vehicle for peacebuilding and empowerment.

    A Call to Action

Let this day not be just a celebration—let it be a call to action.

    • To every business leader—invest in community sport.
    • To every policymaker—protect and fund initiatives that use sport to build peace.
    • To every educator, parent, and mentor—instil teamwork, inclusion, and fairness in all you teach.

And to our youth—lead both on and off the field. Show the world that sport can build a future that is more inclusive, more peaceful, and more just.

    In Closing

At SayPro, we reaffirm our commitment to this journey—not just today, but every day. In every township, on every pitch, and in every young heart that believes in the power of sport to change the world.

Together, let’s make sport a universal language of peace, hope, and unity.

    Thank you.
Ke a leboha. Ngiyabonga. Dankie. Thank you once again.

  • SayPro Human Rights Day Speech

    SayPro Human Rights Day Speech

Delivered by the Learning and Monitoring Officer- Tsakani Rikhotso

Good day, colleagues, partners, and friends,

On this important occasion of Human Rights Day, we reflect on the essential freedoms and rights that belong to every individual—rights that form the foundation of a just and equitable society.

As the Learning and Monitoring Officer at SayPro, my role is to ensure that our work is both impactful and accountable. This means not only educating our teams and communities about human rights but also diligently tracking and evaluating how well we uphold these rights in every program, every partnership, and every initiative.

Human rights are not just values we aspire to—they are standards we must measure ourselves against every day. Through learning, we build awareness and capacity to defend these rights; through monitoring, we hold ourselves accountable to the highest standards of respect, equity, and justice.

At SayPro, we believe that real change happens when knowledge meets action, and when data drives integrity. By continuously learning from our experiences and monitoring our outcomes, we ensure that our work truly advances human dignity and leaves no one behind.

On this Human Rights Day, I urge all of us to renew our commitment to learning—not just as a formality, but as a powerful tool to empower, protect, and promote human rights for all.

Let us commit to transparency, to openness, and to constant improvement, because the rights we uphold today shape the future we build tomorrow.

Thank you for your dedication, and Happy Human Rights Day.

  • SayPro Human Rights Day Speech

    SayPro Human Rights Day Speech

Delivered by the Chief Human Capital Officer-Sinentlantla Mabusela

Good day, colleagues, partners, and friends,

Today, on Human Rights Day, we honor a fundamental truth: every individual deserves respect, dignity, and equal opportunity—both in society and in the workplace.

As the Chief Human Capital Officer at SayPro, I have the privilege and responsibility to nurture the most valuable asset of our organization—our people. But beyond talent management and workforce development, our mission is rooted deeply in human rights principles.

Human rights are not abstract ideals confined to laws and policies; they live and breathe in the daily interactions, policies, and culture of our workplaces. They demand that every person is treated fairly, with dignity, and without discrimination—regardless of gender, race, age, religion, or background.

At SayPro, our commitment to human rights means:

    • Creating an inclusive and safe workplace where diversity is celebrated and every voice is heard.
    • Upholding equal opportunities for growth and development, ensuring barriers are dismantled, and biases are challenged.
    • Fostering a culture of respect, empathy, and accountability where rights are protected and nurtured.

Human Rights Day reminds us that the workplace is more than a space to perform tasks—it is a community where rights must be protected and humanity honored.

To our leaders and managers: the way you lead shapes the experience of every employee. Let us lead with fairness, compassion, and integrity.

To every member of the SayPro family: your dignity matters. Your rights matter. And together, we must build a culture where human rights are not just respected, but championed.

Let us commit, today and every day, to ensuring that SayPro is a place where people thrive because their rights are protected, their contributions valued, and their humanity celebrated.

Thank you, and Happy Human Rights Day.

  • SayPro Human Rights Day Speech

    SayPro Human Rights Day Speech

Delivered by the Chief Operations Officer-Clifford Legodi

Good day, everyone—team members, partners, and valued supporters of SayPro.

On this important occasion of Human Rights Day, we pause to reflect on the fundamental rights and freedoms that belong to every individual—rights that form the very foundation of dignity, equality, and justice.

As the Chief Operations Officer at SayPro, my role is to ensure that our daily activities, processes, and systems operate seamlessly and effectively. But beyond efficiency and performance, there is a deeper responsibility we uphold: to embed human rights principles into the way we run our organization and deliver our services.

Human rights are not abstract ideals—they are lived experiences. They shape how people access opportunities, how communities thrive, and how societies progress. Every process we manage, every project we implement, and every partnership we cultivate must respect, protect, and promote these rights.

At SayPro, we operationalize human rights by:

    • Ensuring equity and inclusion in all our programs and services,
    • Maintaining transparency and accountability in our operations,
    • Providing safe, accessible, and respectful environments for our teams and the communities we serve.

Human Rights Day reminds us that real impact happens in the details—in the systems we build, in the workflows we optimize, and in the culture we foster.

As we move forward, let us recommit to making human rights an integral part of our operations—not as a separate agenda, but as the very framework through which we work.

To every SayPro staff member: your role matters profoundly. By embedding respect, fairness, and dignity into your daily tasks, you help us build a future where no one is left behind.

Let us continue to operate with purpose, passion, and a steadfast commitment to human rights.

Thank you, and Happy Human Rights Day.

  • SayPro Human Rights Day Speech

    SayPro Human Rights Day Speech

Delivered by the Chancellor of SayPro-Jeffery Montapina

Distinguished colleagues, partners, learners, and fellow advocates of dignity and justice,

Today, as we commemorate Human Rights Day, we do more than mark a date on the calendar—we raise our collective voice in defence of human dignity, justice, and freedom for all people.

As Chancellor of SayPro, I am both humbled and proud to lead an institution that does not merely observe human rights from afar, but actively works to embed them in everything we do—from education and training to community empowerment, innovation, and policy influence.

Human rights are not abstract. They are deeply personal. They are about the right of a child to go to school without fear. The right of a woman to speak without being silenced. The right of a young person to find work without discrimination. The right of every human being to be respected—not for what they have, but for who they are.

At SayPro, our programmes are not built on convenience, but on conviction—the conviction that development without rights is development without soul. That learning without freedom is learning without purpose.

As Chancellor, I carry the responsibility of ensuring that our institution leads with integrity, that our actions reflect the values enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and that we use our platforms not just to teach, but to transform.

We must remember: institutions like SayPro are not neutral. We are either advancing justice or standing in its way. And on this day, I affirm that SayPro chooses justice.

We choose to educate minds and liberate potential.
We choose to challenge inequality wherever we see it.
We choose to partner not just for growth, but for lasting impact.

To our staff, partners, learners, and supporters—I thank you. You are the lifeblood of this mission. And to the voices still waiting to be heard, the communities still seeking equity, and the youth still reaching for their full rights—we see you. We are with you.

Let us use Human Rights Day not only as a celebration—but as a recommitment. Let us rise to meet the responsibility of shaping a future where every person, everywhere, lives in freedom, fairness, and full dignity.

Let our legacy not be silence, but solidarity. Not rhetoric, but results.

Thank you, and may human rights always be our guide and our goal.

    Happy Human Rights Day.

Today, on Human Rights Day, we gather to honour not just a moment in history, but a movement—one that continues to grow, to inspire, and to challenge each of us to do more, to be better, and to act boldly.

As the Chief Development Officer of SayPro, my role is focused on growth—not just in funding or reach, but in impact, equity, and the empowerment of people. Development is not progress unless it is inclusive, just, and grounded in the fundamental rights of every human being.

The theme of this year’s Human Rights Day reminds us that rights are not gifts—they are guarantees. They belong to everyone, everywhere. But across our work and research, we see clearly: too many are still denied access to opportunity, to education, to safety, and to dignity.

That is why development must be more than charity. It must be a commitment to justice.

At SayPro, we believe that sustainable development only happens when we uphold the rights of the most vulnerable. Every project we support, every partnership we build, and every community we serve is guided by one question:
    Does this uplift human dignity?

We are not just raising funds—we are raising voices. We are not just supporting programmes—we are supporting people: women demanding equal pay, youth demanding education, families demanding access to healthcare, and communities demanding to be seen and heard.

Today, I call on all our development partners—donors, funders, governments, institutions: let your resources reflect your values. Invest not only in structures, but in systems that protect rights, nurture freedom, and expand access for all.

And to our incredible team at SayPro—thank you. You remind us every day that development is not just what we build, but how we build it—with fairness, with transparency, and with humanity at the center.

Let this Human Rights Day serve as a reminder that development without rights is exploitation, and rights without development is an empty promise. Together, we must deliver both.

Let’s continue to shape a future where no one is left behind—not because we had the resources, but because we had the resolve.

Thank you, and Happy Human Rights Day.

    SayPro Human Rights Day Speech

Delivered by the SayPro Chief Strategic Partnership Officer- Nancy Mdaka

Good morning, esteemed colleagues, partners, allies, and friends.

Today, we come together to observe Human Rights Day—a day that stands as a global reminder of the promises made in 1948 through the Universal Declaration of Human Rights: that every person, regardless of their background, gender, identity, or origin, is entitled to freedom, dignity, and justice.

As the Chief Strategic Partnership Officer at SayPro, my work is deeply intertwined with this mission. Partnerships are not simply contracts or collaborations—they are commitments to shared values. At SayPro, we partner not just to grow—but to advance impact, create opportunity, and champion human rights.

We understand that no single organization can solve the world’s human rights challenges alone. Real change requires unity, alignment, and a willingness to listen and learn from one another. It requires governments, businesses, civil society, and communities to come together around one unshakable principle: that people come first.

Our partnerships—local and global—are designed to bridge gaps:

    • Between policy and practice,
    • Between resources and needs,
    • Between promises and progress.

Every time SayPro enters into a partnership, we ask a critical question:
Will this relationship uplift those whose rights are at risk? Will it leave no one behind?

Whether we’re collaborating on education initiatives, job creation, digital inclusion, or legal empowerment, we ensure that human rights are not just included—they are embedded.

Today is a call to action for all our partners and potential allies:
Let’s not partner for convenience. Let’s partner for impact. Let’s build networks that defend the voiceless, that disrupt inequality, and that deliver dignity.

To our existing partners—thank you. Your trust and shared commitment fuel our work every day. To those we’ve yet to work with—know that SayPro is open, ready, and determined to forge strategic alliances with purpose.

As we mark Human Rights Day, let’s remember: the measure of our success is not found in outputs, but in outcomes—in the lives we touch, the systems we change, and the futures we shape together.

Human rights must not be slogans. They must be systems. They must be solutions. And they must be sustained—through strong, ethical, and courageous partnerships.

Let us keep building those bridges. Together, for humanity.

Thank you, and Happy Human Rights Day.
